[The overall situation may be crappy, but at least he gets to show off!! At Ko's hesitation, though, he feels similarly unsure.]

I've got to admit that it's hard to say where the safest place would be right now. It's total anarchy; I couldn't predict if they'll focus on looting shops, go after otherworlders - there seems to be at least one organised hate group -, or target someplace like the Research Centre, the Mecha Hangar, or the PD.

[After a moment of evaluation, he wonders:]

Do you have anyone who can protect you at home?

[If not, it'll be a tough choice between situating him there as safely as possible on his own or making him tag along through the danger with him.]

[Koro wants to say it. He really does. He would love nothing more than to tease Deki about being so willing to visit the home of someone he admires physically without so much as a word of protest or hesitance.

But he refrains. Deki is likely terrified right now. It would be cruel, wouldn't it? Koro can be shameless, but he knows when it's just not the right time...sometimes.]

[Megumi sighs heavily, her shoulders sagging too much. It really isn't that big of an issue, even if she is like this at times.]

( Deki is silent in the wake of Koro's question. Offer? Suggestive flirtatious quip?

He's silent for a bit longer than is normal, actually; considering the question. Being close to someone can be a nightmare if they're not Tengai ... but he's also not feeling up to walking and inevitably huffing and puffing just a few yards into it.

[Tsutomu is doing his best navigating the streets in the dark. His device seems to work as a makeshift flashlight so he makes do.

He's tense, and doing his best not to panic. Alright, Tsutomu, think! What should one do in this situation?

Tsutomu has no time to think, however, when he hears a voice in his ear say his name.]

GYAAAAAHH!!!

[Tsutomu quickly spins around and thrashes his arms about. Does he hit the source of the voice? Does he fall? Who knows!]

( Anyone to protect him ... that's been a little tough. This place has commonplace threats and happenings that he and those from his world have never faced before. Acclimating to everything else on top of the need to train has been a lot. Atsuhide and Takakage are trying. So is he. )

I can see if they can meet me and bring Hinoki ... I'd hate for you to have to escort me all the way there.

( He supposes that makes sense; he misspoke. Tengai just seems to be a lot more brave, but he isn't here to argue semantics. )

( He absolutely hits the source of the voice. Right in the face. He makes a noise that sounds a lot like ACK and stumbles back a little.

[Tsutomu backs off trying to get his bearings. He felt his fist hit something soft. Then the sound of a loud yell, and now the sound of someone mumbling.

Putting two and two together, Tsutomu grows pale.]

B-by the Twelve! D-did I? I didn't mean—!! A-are you okay? Hold on! I should have something to help!

[Tsutomu starts shuffling about on his person.]

J-just give me a moment! It's a bit difficult to see in the dark! I know I should have some medicine, or perhaps a potion or— forgive me please!

[The sounds of shuffling and shouting become more frantic, showing that Tsutomu is growing more and more anxious, downright panicking.]

I know I have something, please be patient!

Oh, that's fine. That's what I'm there for. If they can meet us halfway, great, but if not, I'll get you home.

[He sure is casual about this... but he does put a lot of stock in his abilities!]

Let's take the teleport nodes.

[Between Ko's glittering and shimmering and Hijikata's green flames, they make for an eye-catching pair, but he simply trusts that most criminals will know better than try and mess with him, and everyone else will find out why it's a bad idea.]

[Oh. Koro assumed the man would just sit there and stammer until he exploded. Perhaps he truly is exhausted? Koro feels a little bad for teasing him now.]

[Koro gently reaches over and feels around for Deki's back and legs, and with one quick swoop he has him up in his arms like a blushing bride.]

You've seen my body. This is nothing.

( He just had to throw in "you've seen my body"; the recollection of the image on Sinder and then really feeling that solid muscle hoisting him up so easily has him squirming a little in Koro's hold. )

U-uh ... thank you ... ?

( He wishes he'd hold him some other way ... this feels weird, but he doesn't say anything. Mind racing a little. Maybe this is stupid, but he feels exhausted. )
