WHAT: Ruby shows the newly-arrived Penny around the home and the town

WHERE: Ruby, Weiss and Nia’s home and possibly elsewhere

Ruby was over the moon with excitement. Penny, one of her best friends, was here! And she was going to show her around everywhere so she can get her used to everything! Her hand tightened on Penny’s, just so excited!

It would take only a few moments before Ruby would lead her friend to the house within Blossomcrown, a large yet modest house designed for Ruby and her dearest!

“Here we are! Welcome to our home! Well, it can be your home, too, if you want.”

Penny is excited too! She's eagerly looking around, seeing what the place looked like. She wanted to know how Ruby had been getting on in this place away from the difficulties of Remnant.

As much as they needed to get back, and the realities of what may happen to her weigh on her, it was nice to just slow down.

"Thank you very much, Ruby! I may stay for a few days, but I think I may want to spread out in my own home. Not because I wouldn't want to stay with you, but I will have a lot of machinery going on as I work on my own body. Without Father here, there is a lot I have to do on my own." She didn't want to keep Weiss, Ruby or Nia awake by tinkering.

“Oh, that’s right! Eheheh, sorry, I forgot.” Ruby said, sheepishly. “But, still, I’m glad you’re here and you’ll always have a place to stay with us if you need it.”

She would lead Penny inside and upstairs, leading to an spare room between her and Weiss’ rooms.

“If you want, you can take this one. It’s a guest room, but we can convert it.”

"You really are so sweet, my friend." She gives Ruby a tight hug. "I think I will be fine. I can stay here in the guest room for a while, and then get somewhere to stay nearby so we can always visit."

Of course, she could just fly across the districts if she had to, but why make it harder to see her closest friends?

"We have so much time now to do what we want." It was a breath of fresh air.

“Oh! Heh, yep!” Ruby grunted as she was hugged. She would return the hug in kind - the best she could. “You can take your time finding your place, but it’ll be great to see what you can find!”

At what Penny said, Ruby smiled and blushed a bit.

“What did you want to do? We can do just about anything.”

"I'm very excited, I want to do some upgrades to allow me to experience more of the world." Creating heat sensors beyond a visual indicator was up there.

She considers Ruby's question. "Well... I'm not sure. Maybe you could show me some of your favorite places to go?"

“Some of my favorite places, huh?” Ruby mused. “Not a problem! How about we start with the Colosseum? It’s a simple place to train at!”

She giggled as she took Penny’s hand.

“I’m a bit simple in that regard.”

"I will gladly start there! However, I would also like to see places that do not have to do with fighting." She squeezes Ruby's hand with a gentle smile.

"It is not that I dislike being able to fight and help people, but I want to see other things as well. Like your favorite places to eat or play." Even if she can't eat herself, it was still something she would enjoy because it made Ruby happy.

“Oh, of course! We’ll start there and then see all the other places! Promise!” Ruby said, nodding. “There’s a lot to see and do…”
