Hm... I wonder if this is enough? Mimi, what do you think?

[In the days leading up to Valentine's Day, Mary can be found sat at the table, hard at work crafting a whole lot of rose-like tissue paper flowers on sticks in a whole array of different colours. Yellow and the other primary colours to start, of course, but she'd branched out into secondary colours too.

Her Mimikyu was lurking near the door to stop anyone 'spoiling' the surprise... but she gave a worried squeak as she saw Mary take a red, blue and yellow one together in her hands, staring at them in thought.]

...I think I want to keep these ones.

[Spotting someone she knows, Mary rushed over to tug at their sleeve- a bit of a struggle with her arms full of handmade paper flowers! Attention got, and she'd be picking one out in a colour that she thought they'd like best-]

[As it turned out, Mary had in fact made far too many flowers... at least you couldn't fault her enthusiasm!

Well, this wasn't a bad outcome. Maybe she could make some new friends! And so, she wandered over to friendly looking strangers to talk. Evidently, she had no sense of stranger-danger.]

Hello! I made these for Valentine's Day, would you like one??

[Picking out one of the remaining handmade paper flowers in a colour she thought matched them- probably focusing on details in their accessories or clothing- and offering it with a bright smile.]

[Mecchan runs down the wall and over to the art room in a babbling panic. Rinku's coming downstairs! Whatever Mimi's guarding the door for, she needs to hurry!

This is barely much warning at all, though, and Rinku quickly follows, waving cluelessly.]

Oh, hey, you guys! Have you seen Mary-chan?

Eep!

[Mary nearly dropped her flowers as Mecchan rushed over- oh no, there had to be something she could hide them with!

Mimi meanwhile, quickly bobbed over to Rinku, waving her shadowy arms and making a little cry for attention. Come give her pets! That'd give Mary enough time, right??]

Eh?

[Rinku crouches by Mimi and pets both her and Mecchan, trying to sneak a look into the art room.]

Are you guys okay? You're in a panic. Is it a Valentine's Day thing? Did I not buy enough candy?

[Mimi squeaked happily with the attention! But how long could Rinku be distracted for...

At the mention of candy, she bobbed up and down expectantly- yes, candy please!

Mary, meanwhile, could probably be heard rustling hurriedly around the art room.]

[Pet pet. She giggles and digs in her bag, then pulls out Pokémon Treats for Mimi and Mecchan.]

I don't see why not! If you see Mary-chan, let her know there's candy for her too, okay? Hina-chan can get hers when she wakes up from her nap.

[She's fairly certain she knows where Mary is, but Mimi is so worried and hurried right now, she should probably indulge her a little!

Mecchan warbles, but happily accepts a treat.]

I practiced lots and lots back in the gallery but... it's different when you can share it with all your friends.

[Frieda's face lit up at the sight of the blue-and-purple paper flower Mary was offering her, and she carefully accepted it.]

Thank you, Mary! It's so beautiful! Did you make all of these yourself?

[The little girl looked so incredibly adorable with her bouquet, the sight needed to be immortalised in a photograph! She resisted the urge to rummage for her phone for just a moment longer.]

[Frieda earns a bright, happy smile from the young girl.]

Mhm! I made a lot so I had enough to make all my friends happy~

That's so nice of you!!

[Come here, Mary, have a hug (with caution for the paper flowers)!]

Have you been here handing them out all day? You deserve a treat too, you know? What would you like me to get you?

[With all the different stores and stands, the possibilities are endless!]

[ With the gentle tug on his sleeve, he leans down, and rather than simply accept the flower, he scoops her right up into his arms. He's carried her before, so he sees no harm in doing it again. ]

[ He forgets that it's a holiday here. It's just not that important a day to him, but if Mary wants to give him a flower, he thinks that's alright. ]
