Re: Searching for A Coffin
I detest irresponsibility.
Re: Searching for A Coffin
Re: Searching for A Coffin
That is an irresponsibility.
Acts of responsibility is also one of my "food" [finger quotes] sources. Its one of the easier ways for people to pay me since I do not have much need for material things.
Re: Searching for A Coffin
Re: Searching for A Coffin
Because in truth, I only said that to give you the sense you have paid me back.

Re: Searching for A Coffin
I'm from a world called Thusia. Slavery has not been present in some time, but it is hard to think the concept on any world encourages those enslaved to think of their own health and wellbeing.
There were slave owners who were some measure of "kind," but that kindness would be more akin to worrying about the health of one's pet versus another person.
Admittedly, a lot of Verinne's flock were in such a position. Allowing one to live past their end made for rather heavy leverage.
Re: Searching for A Coffin
So yeah, I don't want nothing to be held over me. If you buy it, I only want to pay you back, nothing more.
Re: Searching for A Coffin
It will help those who have deluded themselves into thinking they're being magnanimous into reexamining their choices.
I don't need payment. I have energy to starve here and taking care of others is in my nature.
Not my personality, there is a reason I feed on responsibility.

Re: Searching for A Coffin
I don't need material things. I make whatever I want and most of those are simple indulgences.
Re: Searching for A Coffin
Fine, so you don't want me to pay you back. What do you want, then?
Re: Searching for A Coffin
I'm a simple creature in that way.

[Money get.] This should cover it.
[Will let the vendor go off to charge.]
I assume it needs to be back sooner than later?

Go home, grab an ice cube, say a scientific fact, and Albinia and I can get the coffin there.
Re: Searching for A Coffin
[Louis nods and heads out the door of the coffin vendor. When he makes it back to his apartment, he pulls out one cube from the icemaker and says,] Ice is cold.
Re: Searching for A Coffin
[Albinia will wait, much to the nerves of the vendor. Taking a look over the coffin, making sure there's nothing shady about it. She knows the stories about the underground mall and she would hate to pay for any nasty surprises.]
[Once she decides its adequate, she'll sit on top, taking notes about the store while she's here. Thinking of new things to study.]
[Until her senses perk up in the intersections of her domains.]
[The response isn't instance because saying her name was about giving her confirmation because her senses always perk up when someone is talking science and holding ice and sometimes that's just some nerd holding a cold drink. There was two other voices this late at night. Someone holding a frozen bottle after doing that opening instant freeze trick. No, not his voice. Another learning the lesson of why you don't just grab dry ice.]
[A third-]
[Simple, to the point, that could be nothing.]
[No, that's his voice, she's pretty sure.]
[Its about two minutes, and there isn't a swirl of wind, or a rush of movement. The only dramatic shift is the drop in temperature.]
[And Albinia is sitting there on top of the coffin in the living room, like its been there the whole time.] Sorry for the delay. My name is important for filtering out the white noise.
