Library
One of the ways Dan Heng had decided to help him was to give him children's books to read, that way they could work up his reading level. And, that's where Boothill found himself now. In the children's section of the library in Amberfall, trying to figure out what book(s) to read next. It was mighty embarrassing, if he were honest, but Dan Heng was busy today and Boothill found himself with nothing to do and now he was partially regretting his decision to do this all by himself.
Especially when he could feel the curious gazes of other library-goers. He popped a bullet into his mouth, crunching on it loudly in order to distract himself. The kids watching were one thing (curious little things, they were) but adults? Ugh...
"Fork me..." He muttered, tipping his hat lower on his head. Maybe he ought to just come back later...

Rather than call out to him, as she might have usually, she sidles up to his elbow as he mutters to himself and... tries to hide? (Cute.)
"Are you all right, Boothill?" she asks him, peeking around his arm and looking up at him with a smile. "I've never seen you in the library before."

He heard someone shush him and he cleared his throat. He lowered his voice.
"Don't you go sneakin' up on me like that!" He muttered, he slid the book back into the shelf (in the wrong place). "An' I'm fine. I jus'..."
Could he come up with a plausible excuse to be in the kid's section of a library?
"Aw heck," No he couldn't. "My friend is teachin' me to read better. But I fudgin' ran outta books an' he ain't home to help pick out some new ones."

It seems not, as he gives the real reason a few moments later. When he does, her expression softens entirely and she reaches up to give his arm a gentle pat. There's definitely no shame in not being able to read, particularly when one is making a very earnest attempt to improve.
"Well, you might be in luck, then. I'm here. Why don't I help you look?"
She slants her gaze up to the one he had put back on the shelf.
"What was wrong with that one?"
