Event: When Life Gives You Portals
Indeed the appearance of portals upon all the bridges of Ellipsa was a bit more extreme than anything she had come upon yet. Certainly more dangerous than chasing away some birds or sheering sheep.
The sound of a scream catches her attention and she's immediately turning towards it, sword and shield raised as a group dash out from a portal. More monsters, no doubt. Well, time to clear out another section. She ran towards the group to find another Elezen seemed to have the same idea in mind, moving towards the group, weapon in hand--something about him gave her momentary pause but she focused on the more important matter right now.]
Is anyone still in there?
no subject
[He shakes his head.] Nay, none remain but us - and whatever beasts await. Hopefully, we shall make quick work of them.
[Something does indeed shift through the foliage within the portal's garden. It's there and gone in an instant, but it's there nonetheless.]
It would seem proper introductions will have to wait.
((Do you have a preference for what monster(s) they fight? Since you made the starter, I figure it's only fair to give you first choice lol :D))
no subject
[From this position Ysayle could not get a grasp of what the creature might be, but whatever it was it seemed fast.
She looks towards the man--something about him seems vaguely familiar but with more pressing matters at hand it seems it'll have to wait.
She nods]
Aye. I have some thaumaturgy I can use if need be. Anything I should know of you?
[At the very least, however, it would be good to know one another's strengths so they can best utilize them when fighting alongside each other.]
no subject
[Thaumaturgy is good too, as is having options. Between that and her own drawn weapons, it seems he stands with another warrior proper. His eyes linger on her shield for a moment.] My skills lie first and foremost with my blade. If you can draw the beast to your shield, I can strike it down.
[As much as he usually
tankstakes the lead, she has a proper shield with her already.][He begins moving towards the portal.] If that is agreeable to you, let us not tarry any longer. May the Fury stand with us.
no subject
The foliage makes it a little difficult to see but it also makes the creature much more easily traceable by sound for the rustling of bushel gives its position. She turns to the other elezen to see if he noticed as well and nods, taking the lead.
For the moment she keeps her shield forward on the off chance it's just another person. Soon, however, it's made clear that is not the case as she sees a flash of feathers and hears a shriek. She raises her shield in time to block the slash of claws and then she dashes forward clanging her sword and shield together to keep it on her in search of an opening for her and her fellow swordsman to more easily fight it.]
oh yeah writing fight scenes is hard lol
[He can work with that. Narrowing his eyes, Aymeric follows not far behind, his steps careful as he moves in arc to her side.]
[The cockatrice leaps at her from the underbrush. As it clashes against her shield a few times, Aymeric jumps in on the creature's flank with a hard downwards slash.]
