[You've probably seen the posters around town -- either the terribly drawn amateurish posters Rinku put up in the first week of the month or the replacements she got from MK that actually made sense and looked nice. For the autumnal equinox, Rinku, or DJ Link, is throwing a concert in the Sunwaning Theatre with afterparty to follow.

The signs inside the building lead you to one of the stages, and you can also pick up a light-up bracelet or simple glowsticks in orange if you don't have a bracelet or penlight. The stage has been decorated with leaves, and lights move around until the show starts and they lift to focus on the booth and Rinku standing behind it in her usual performance outfit.]

How are we, Ellipsa? It's time to welcome in fall! I'm gonna make you all 「Happy Around!」

[1) The Concert]

[Rinku launches into a bouncy set as the lights and fall-themed decorations turn the theatre into an orange party zone. She plays some of her usual fare, but also some newer songs and a bunch of anime covers. Maybe some from things you know! ...Or things you're from, shh.

At one point, a cardboard box slightly taller than a ruler toddles on stage with little eye and arm holes cut out from it that make it obvious there's something in there. Something small and blue. Rinku helps the "box" up into the booth in front of a little Baby's First Keyboard and announces that Mecchan, her Sobble, has worked up the courage to be on stage and sing about his favourite thing, so everyone please support him! ...What follows is a song about curry rice with Rinku singing and working the booth and Mecchan playing the keyboard and warbling, up until he gets too nervous and starts blowing bubbles out the eye holes of the box. Rinku pats him afterwards and lets him scurry off stage, leading the crowd in applauding for Mecchan.

The rest of the set is back to normal, excitable party music, and then ends with a slow love song to wind things down. Rinku cheers and waves at the crowd.]

How was that, everyone? We're gonna have a lot more fun after the show, so I hope you're all ready ♪

[2) The Afterparty]

[In one of the basement ballrooms that theatres tend to have, there is indeed an afterparty for those inclined to stick around. There are tables lined up with riceballs (it's Rinku), donuts (it's Rinku), and fall supper items like beef stew if you're really hungry, with seating for you to eat at.

But it's not just food! Peppered around are games like ring toss, a piñata, and yes, pin the tail on the human is back just as it was in the anniversary party. You can also start the usual party games like Never Have I Ever or Two Truths and a Lie, or just go around mingling with friends new and old.

Rinku will also be around, with Mecchan out of the box and perched on her shoulder, recovering from stage fright and looking nervously proud of his accomplishment.]

[Rinku can be found just about everywhere! She's buzzing around with Mecchan on her shoulder, as well as her Zubat, Hina, on a little leash so she doesn't wander off and bite somebody. Rinku will go up to you at whatever activity you're doing and wave happily.]

[Evangeline was there, of course! Waving her glowstick... not quite in rhythm, but she was doing her best.]

[Mecchan smiles and makes a happy noise, waving his little front legs.]

Thanks! He got curious, and MK-san suggested putting something over Mecchan to help with the stage fright, since then no one would see him. I think it's good as long as we all had fun! What did you think of the setlist? I wanted to put in some songs you would like, but the first thing I thought of was that one you sang in the book, and I dunno if that'd fit with my set...

Rinku, with all the love in my heart, I don't think you're at a point yet where you can play songs about kinky sex and be taken seriously. Maybe someday.

[Rinku makes the tea kettle noise and turns pink.]

Yeah, I guess not... But at least you had fun anyway, right? How are the food and games?

I had a lot of fun! The food's delicious, and I haven't done any of the games so far but they'll probably be fun too! -Even if I think pin the tail on the human is still silly.

I dunno what else I was gonna do, though. You said people who were animals might get offended if I picked that animal.

[Frieda's apprehension of what might wait for them in the fairy kingdom is tremendous, so she's glad for the opportunity to lose herself in music and dance for the night rather than overthinking the coming expedition. She still hasn't gotten fully used to Rinku's style - they don't party like this in the Walls! -, but she still bounces and waves her glowstick and bracelet.]

Bravo, Mecchan! Bravo, Rinku!!

[She's going to gas them both up as much as she can! Their collaboration song is so cheerful!]

[Rinku is still playing onstage, but she cheers and waves back at Frieda and the rest of the crowd. She's having fun! Even Mecchan seems a little encouraged, getting back to playing on his toy piano.]

Don't mind me moving on right to 2 for Rinku's because she's at work--

[Rinku seriously is so cute. Her joy is infectious as always!

By the time the concert ends, Frieda is exhausted in a good way, still feeling the elation resonate inside her while physically tired from dancing and cheering. But there's an afterparty, and she wants to make the absolute most of the fun before they all set out tomorrow! At some point, she taps Rinku's shoulder from behind.]

Rinku, say, how do I play 'Never have I ever'? Do I just prompt you, and you have to say if you've done it before or not? Like, for example, 'Never have I ever eaten snow'?

[roundandaround]

Yeah, and then you have to do something like make a tally mark or take a drink or something! But I haven't eaten snow before.

[Hina, for her part, puts her face in a little cup of water and drinks out of it.]

She has.

Really? I thought everyone did it at least once! But then it never snowed where you lived, right?

[And eating sand doesn't sound half as enticing. Hina is so cute, though! Frieda gently strokes her back with one finger as she lifts her head back up from drinking. It's a pity she can never bring out her Magikarp on land, but alas, sky and water can't come together.]

No, nowhere I lived! Except sometimes in Nakano, but it usually doesn't stick. Hina-chan tried eating the snow the first time I took her to Frostreign.

[Hina squeaks happily and nudges into the petting.]

[With the next potentially (or, more likely: assuredly) dangerous expedition ahead of them, Hijikata wanted to enjoy himself a little beforehand (not least because he has a much closer personal affinity for Rinku's DJ work since he got pulled into her simulation the other month). Not being much of a dancer, he mostly hangs back during the party, but afterwards he can be found stuffing his face with a mayonnaise-covered riceball.]

Mmm. These are good.

[He won't be jumping to start any games, but as usual he can be roped into them.]

Hi, Hijikata-san!

[Rinku waves, as does Mecchan. Hina flies up to him and squeaks -- oh, it's the guy with the weird-tasting blood! (Blame the cigarettes.) She's not going to bite him again, but she seems happy to recognize someone.]

Onigiri are always great, right? So I thought it was good even if they're not normally party food!

[Hijikata won't even flinch if Hina lands on him, given that she hasn't been too bitey after that first sampling (his blood must be truly foul-tasting).]

Whoever said that they're not party food had no idea what they're talking about. They're good for every occasion! What's better than mayonnaise with rice?

[After all, that's all the 'Hijikata Special' is!]

Hmm... I guess you're right. Maybe you could put mayo in actual party food too! I wonder if there's mayo cake.

There is! It's really palatable for everyone; even the tasteless people praise it online!

["Tasteless" as in "not bizarrely obsessed with mayonnaise". He immediately sends Rinku a link on his phone.]

But honestly, I think the mayonnaise doesn't come through enough.

Hm... Maybe you could put more mayo on it? Don't you usually do that with other things, Hijikata-san?

[MK is in the crowd, dancing to the music. He laughs and waves some glow sticks around, while wearing several glow rings around his neck. His dance moves slide from excited dancing to slow dancing with the love song. He claps with the others and cheers.]

Yeeeeaaah! We're great! Encore! Encore! WHOOOOOOOO!

[roundandaround]

[Rinku cheers and tosses candy out into the crowd. Where did she get it? Who knows -- okay, probably just the convenience store behind her apartment.]

You guys are calling for an encore? Sure! Can I get some suggestions?

[MK grabs some candy and grins. Wait. Candy. That's it!]

[Rinku's ears perk up. She nods and punches something in.

Fun fact: Candy-Go-Round is in D4DJ as one of the non-cover songs! And Hololive isn't an appable canon so I don't have to worry about fourth wall permissions!]

[Rinku does the spin and point in the booth and continues the song, mixing it up and singing as she goes. At the end, the lights swing all over the audience and orange confetti falls from the ceiling. Rinku bows and waves to everyone as she heads off the stage.]
