June 3rd - Locked to Nine

This was one of MK's last deliveries. He needed a change. Something that was anchored. Something that didn't risk him going out and running into certain people. This way he could stay put somewhere on the seeder side of town. Sure, most would say that wasn't ideal. Why give up something he liked for something seedy? Thing was, MK needed the change. The people he was avoiding would either be there but not really look into the club he'd be in, or wouldn't be there at all. Best of both worlds.

He knocked on the door to Nine's lab. He tapped his foot as he waited. Usually MK's delivery service came with a bright happy smile when the door opened. Not today.

"Hey Nine. Brought your latest delivery. Where do you want it?"

MK being anything but peppy was a foreign concept to Nine, but he didn't ask about it right away as he stepped aside so MK could enter the workshop. "Same corner as last time. It's just the same equipment as before," he said, though his eyes stayed fixed on MK. For now, he said nothing more.

MK nodded and walked to the corner. He set the box down and and looked around the lab. Not much had changed since he was here last. Well, not that he could really tell. Maybe it had. Nine was always working on something new. He looked at the fox and felt a tad awkward.

"Just so you know, this'll be the last time I deliver this stuff. I'm looking for a new job. Pretty sure who ever they hire is gonna be fine. Thought you might wanna know."

The only major difference was a new window somewhat high up, there there were also a number of heart-shaped marks on the walls. Some were even overlapping like they had been stamped multiple times.

"You're looking for a new job?" Nine asked, his head tilting to the side. A somewhat skeptical look crossed his face. It wasn't his business really, but something was clearly off about this whole situation. So he decided to voice his thoughts. "It's probably none of my business, but would the job search have anything to do with your lack of enthusiasm?"

The window and those marks were cute. Weird though with Nine. He blinked at the question and he looked back at the fox.

"Oh. Kinda, yeah. I need a change. Some stuff happened lately. Or I guess I really screwed up is more accurate. So I'm changing some stuff. One of those is my job. ...I run into a lot of people making deliveries. Don't wanna risk that now."

June 3rd - Locked to Husk

MK walked to Husk's and Angel's apartment after he made his last deliveries. He needed that vacation Cole suggested and he needed it badly. Especially now. He just hoped he could crash here. He had thought of Saya's but he didn't want to deal with Porty right now. He doubted Porty wanted to deal with him either. He took in a deep breath. Here went nothing.

He knocked on the door.

June 11th - Locked to Saya

MK slept so long after he broken down with Wukong. He shattered completely and it took a long cry and a long sleep to even be able to stand again. Everything still felt so fresh. He needed to talk to someone he knew would understand. Someone who had been through something like this before. Exactly like this. He didn't want to really be around Porty right now but at least Porty was out. Which meant all this wouldn't affect him. He wouldn't wish this on his clones.

He knocked on the big house front door and waited.

Porty's out of the house making mischief right now, surely, so at least MK will be spared that.

Saya answers the door with a smile, which quickly fades when she can see written all over MK's face that there's something wrong. But he doesn't fade all the way, only into something more appropriate to a friend in need: smaller, softer.

"Hey, MK. Would you like to come in?"

His posture was slightly hunched, his arms raised and forward, and his eyes lacked that usual bright glimmer. He nodded and moved inside. He made very careful moves to not brush or touch Saya. He swallowed as the emotions bubbled up into his throat. He tried to swallow them down but it was hard. There wasn't any nice or easy way to ask this.

"Thank you. I...I need your help," MK took a few deep breathes, trying to calm himself down.

Saya recognizes the signs of trauma and touch aversion immediately, both from herself and from others back in Imeeji. She struggled too long and too hard with Nem over touch aversion to question it.

She shuts the door and makes no effort to touch or even get overly close to MK.

"Of course. Would you like some tea, or to sit down? Both or neither?"

MK appreciated it. He felt like he was barely holding himself together. What would he like? He looked at the kitchen then back at Saya. It was hard to choose. Because what he really wanted was...

"How...how did you...how did you get better after Red Son killed you?" The tears fell. He couldn't stop them. They spilled over. He just wanted to get better.

June 12th - Locked to Macaque

MK wasn't sure where to meet Macaque, honestly. The rabbit house was where Cole was and he hadn't talked to him yet. The other house wasn't good since Red Son was there. The Castle maybe not since Wukong was there. Talking with Saya the day before made it easier to text his mate.

I want to see you. I want to talk. If you're up for it. Wanna meet somewhere? Just us?

He sent the text and waited.

Seeing MK text is both encouraging and not-so. He successfully talks himself out of assuming the worst.

Sure. How about that spot in the Spring segment, the valley between hills? Where they had their bonding moment that gave MK the plush sun from the heart game, where Macaque recognized that he loved MK.

MK remembered that spot. The snuggles and the closeness. He nodded and realized Macaque couldn't see that. Oops.

See you there. He closed his eyes. He pictured that location and let the shadows open. He slipped through and appeared in that spot, falling up through a portal and it vanished before his feet hit the ground again. He knew Macaque would feel it. He wouldn't have to wait long now.

He can feel it, and so it only takes a second before Macaque rises out of a portal beside MK.

"Hey, kiddo." He takes his seat without waiting for further greeting, so that MK won't need to awkwardly remind Macaque that he doesn't want to be touched.

"Hey, Macaque," MK greeted back. He sat down in front of Macaque so they could face each other. No touching right now. Macaque silently showing he knew that helped. He swallowed.

"I wanted to talk. About what happened in the game. A little. Not everything. Unless we want to. Just...I want to spend time with you. I'm not running away. I promise. I just don't know how long I will feel scared of touching people. Touching you. But I want to try and get better. I'm gonna need time. I know I will. But I know what I need more is to be around you."

After Cursed Game

If Donnie wants to find people, he will find people. Especially in a world with technology. It's his playground and if he's crossing some ethical boundaries in regards to privacy....

Well, it's best to just not worry about it.

He always finds work arounds.

The rest is ninja training. He knows how to hide, stalk, and get into places he should not be, and with Autumn's powers, he coukd even get around Macaque.

So MK's warning of something going down is the sudden silence that surrounds him.

Then the flat mental voice in his head. You and I are going to have a private conversation where Macaque won't overhear and I have enough tranquilizers to take out ten elephants if you don't comply.

Welcome to a blank faced turtle behind you, MK. Also welcome to his growth spurt to 5'9.

It wasn't hard to Donnie to get the jump on MK. Not with his current mental state on top of his usually inattentive attitude. He had made sure to pop a patience candy before leaving the castle about ten minutes ago and had more in his jacket. Just in case he needed them or the other candies he got at Riki's. Though patience didn't stop him from stopping in his tracks when all of the sound disappeared. Then the voice was in his head. His eyes widened. His heart rate jumped up and he spun around.

This was a little extreme, wasn't it?! He stared at Donnie for a moment. Fighting was out of the question. He knew that right now. MK nodded. He wasn't going to put up a fight. Also who knew what that much tranquilizer would actually do to him. Either kill him or make the monkey mad. One of the two.

Donnie wouldn't use them all at once. He just figures that much would do something even to MK's bullshit power levels. It would just be a test of how many elephants was needed to make him a wet noodle boy.

Good. Follow.

He then turns and walks off the beaten path. There is purpose to his stride, like he knows where he's going.

Which, a few minutes later, he does. As there seems to be a new hatch in the ground, disguised to look like grass with a hologram, that he opens with a press of a button, into a freshly dug (or magic'd tunnel) that he walks right into.

MK followed. He was curious where they were going but Donnie's tone and the use of the silence bubble and telepathy told him he didn't want eavesdroppers. Maybe not a specific eavesdropper. Not hard to guess. He did this same thing back during the heart game prep with Cole the entire time everyone was in the house. Those six ears heard everything except what was in a silence bubble and what was inside someone's head.

Donnie descended into a dark tunnel and clearly wanted him to follow still. So MK did. He didn't ask where they were going to why yet. Hopefully the answer would become clear as they walked to wherever in Ellipsa they were going. He was going to make sure to use the seismic senses to see if any of these tunnels went under the castle later. Just in case.

The tunnel heads more down than forward, a steep incline that leads down a way to a dug out room, but this one has reinforced walls. Namely with purple, white, and black material covering every inch of the area save the doorway. Plus lighting.

And while there's metal, there is also a lot of hard plastic and reinforced plexiglass in the material.

As MK enters the room, Donnie pulls out a square and tosses to the doorway, pressing a button on his gauntlet and it covers up the doorway in a whirl of modular, expanding pieces to seal the room.

Donnie then shakes out his hands, breathes deep, and presses his hands to the wall. A purple glow moving from his hands and expanding out into the wall.

Only then does the silence bubble drops. "There. Magic and tech. He won't be able to hear anything." There are SO MANY sound buffers and cancellers in that wall, plus a Ninpo enchantment. Once he understood how the seasonal power worked, it was easier to figure out how to get silence buffering into things.

June 13th - Locked to Red Son

MK had thought about how to do this a lot. He tried to think this through in every way he could. Plans were usually the thing he was good at. Though that had been shaken up a little. He put all of his Smartie Kid brain into this one. He would text first. Ask if it was alright. Make sure Red Son knew he was coming. He didn't text right away though. He got to Blossumcrown and about a block from the house before he sent the text.

He didn't want to leave Red Son waiting too long, just in case he got anxious.

Hi. I wanna come over. I want to see you. I'm close. Can I come over?

MK smiled and wiped his eyes as he read the text message. He walked to the house and opened the door. He walked in and just breathed in deep. Home.

"I'm home," He said aloud. He missed being home. He missed it so much. Like how he missed Red Son.

"I'm in the kitchen," he called.

Red Son is only not a disaster because of Macaque and Saya fussing. As is, his hair isn't as nearly tied back, clothes more rumple, and there's bags under his eyes.

He's also started cooking because food always helps smooth things over.
