To say that Tsumugi and Kazunari have been looking forward to this day would be an understatement. But finally, it's time for the curtains to rise on this very special day - a day that they're so thrilled to share with the friends they've made during their time in Ellipsa and Avalon.

The portion of the park set up for the wedding ceremony is, of course, absolutely picturesque and stunning. Between Kazunari's eye for design, Tsumugi's floristry experience, and their mutual love for the dramatic, they've striven to create a truly unforgettable scene. There are lush plants and blooming flowers as far as the eye can see, and a pond that almost shimmers in the sunlight. A Totodile and a kelpie (Kazunari's familiar from his days in Avalon) happily soak in the waters, while a Turtwig and a pair of dogs settle by the pond's edge.

Officiating the wedding is their dear friend, Ren Jinguji ([personal profile] saxsongs). After giving those in attendance some time to mill about and socialize, he asks everyone to be seated so that the ceremony can begin.

It starts with a cartoonish robotic blue jay flying above the guests and playing music. There's no aisle for either groom to walk down, though. Instead, they walk in from the left and right sides, as if leaving the wings and taking a stage. They're each holding a bouquet - Tsumugi one made of paper flowers, and Kazunari one of fresh flowers - that they give to each other once they've met in the middle.

When it's time to give the vows, Ren first turns to Kazunari.

Ahem. [Kazunari clears his throat, for the drama, but it does nothing for how wet his voice already is.] Things I love about one Mister Tsumugi “Tsumutsumu” Tsukioka:

I love his passion. His kindness. The way his eyes crinkle when he wakes up, because even though he’s not a morning person, he still greets me with a smile every time. His surprisingly adventurous side, and how he’s able to run with things so easily. He’s so serious about the silliest things; it’s adorable!

I love how he’s getting better with technology, little by little. I love the curve of his belly and how he chases kisses even when he’s the one to end them sometimes. [A full laugh this time as he turns to their guests.] That’s the only spicy one, I promise! [Then, back to Tsumugi.]

I love the way you mentor the little ones and take care of them like they’re your own. [A warble.] Between them and our growing collection of furry friends, it feels like we’re already a big family. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Because I love everything about you, Tsumutsumu, but most of all I love how you, and the love you’ve given me feels like home. I want to make a family with you in this warm, amazing space we’ve carved out for ourselves in this world.

Tsumugi Tsukioka, my Tsumutsumu, my bffle, my beloved: I’m so happy to be taking this step towards making it a reality with you.

Then, Ren turns to Tsumugi (who is, for the record, misty-eyed as well).

My Kazukazu. [ He smiles fondly, cheeks warm. ] It's hard to picture myself happier than I am at this moment. To be standing beside you now, surrounded by our friends, moments away from becoming your husband... I'm certain I'll remember this moment for the rest of my life.

I once described my feelings toward acting as an eternal unrequited love. It's something that's always on my mind, day and night, and occupies a special place in my heart. I've never been without love in some form, but few things have been so all-consuming as theater.

Well [ he squeezes Kazunari's hands ] you taught me how wonderful and transformative an eternal requited love can be. I see your love for me is in everything you do, and I hope you know that feeling is mutual. And even if you do, I'd still want to spend my days by your side, showing you how deeply in love with all of you I am in every possible way.

There's so much I want to say to you now, but I'm not sure how much longer I can patiently wait... so I'll say this: Kazunari Miyoshi, you are my eternal love, my home, my joy and inspiration, my partner in life, and my dearest "bffle". And no matter what happens, or where life takes us next, I promise to be by your side through it all.

With their vows and wedding rings exchanged, Ren is more than happy to declare them husband and husband. And the second the words "you may now kiss" leaves Ren's mouth, they're cupping each others faces and kissing amidst teary, joyous laughter.

The reception hall - or perhaps "area" would be more accurate - has been set up in another part of the park. And there's even more flowers here, if that's even possible, including some flower arches and arrangements commissioned from Perfectly Pleasing Plants and The Greenhouse - with proper credit, of course!

Alongside all the photogenic scenery is an actual photo booth, complete with cameras, backdrops, silly props, and cardboard cut-outs of Kazunari and Tsumugi (???????). Guests are actively encouraged to take pictures and post them to social media with the hashtag "#BloomingWedding".

In terms of catering, there's quite a selection! ... of egg dishes. And foods that pair perfectly with eggs. There's other things to accommodate any dietary restrictions/to have actual variety, too, but it's pretty easy to tell what one of the groom's favorite food is... and that the other groom really wanted to make him happy. At the center of it all is a grand wedding cake, made for the couple by Shigeru. For drinks, there's an open bar staffed by a few bartenders, so guests can order what they please, but no alcohol will be served to minors.

There's a dance floor set up for, well, dancing, but alongside it is a small stage. It's an open invitation from the grooms to put on a performance, if a guest so chooses. Because of course there is. And of course Tsumugi himself takes the stage at least once, though for the purpose of a bouquet toss.

A ways away from the dance floor, where it's quieter and calmer, an art station is set up with all the supplies necessary to make pressed flower art, along with a few books on floriography. There's some pendants, bookmarks, and the like pre-made by the couple to take home as a wedding favor, but guests are encouraged to make something of their own. There's also a giant canvas and paints for any non-DIYers, so they can contribute to a collaborative painting that'll go home with the newlyweds at the end of the night.
