His magics swallow the first assaults—ice walls rising to meet new threats—and half a moment sees him sprint, round glance seeking about to look, his quick steps slowing once wide eyes dip and fall to the next nearest monster. Left arm rising to lift his spell, ground-waves swelling from just its sweep, his magic arcs, impassable winds still razor-sharp eclipsed in his modest tsunami. And sudden as that, his same arm's swinging to loose a ball to sail out freed from his fingertips.

Before it's pounced, before front paws land from out its lunge in a half-stretch, he watches ice—its spread a fire in all its speed—trap its form before its first attack reaches. He doesn't lift his palm, flinch, but iced approach comes deadly quick, white frost pouring from just his steps, his Quirk alone in rapid expanse blurring the ground in a winter's-scape. He only wills, and heatwave blooming in gold-tint palm, fingers spread from the moment he's reached, he lets off flames in all of their star-bright intensity.
He cuts loose heat; embers, ice, and scattered debris falling behind in its aftermath. And, the little ball lands in ice-rock, tips half-opened to launch a large, fussy monster-cat free of it. He doesn't speak, but his face does manage a scowl that seems at best still-unpleasant. The boy trots up.]
