[ It is perhaps not the best time to admire the scenery, but Levi's eyes are definitely a little wide as he gets into the boat. There's stars all around, up in the sky and reflecting in the dark water below, and it has to be one of the most beautiful sights he's ever seen. ]
[ That doesn't mean he's not alert, though. As soon as he and his new companion makes it far enough from the shore that their surroundings start shifting into something icy and watery (and perhaps mixed with something else), he's shifting into a battle stance, and a moment later a series of ice spikes intercept a valley of hail boulders flung their way by a vaguely monkey shaped rock creature. ]
...there's more of them.
-- 2. Bigger on the Inside: Part 3
[ It may take a few days to reach Olwen, but Levi works tirelessly, fueled by the absolute necessity to save this world, so that his loved ones have a place to stay, to remain alive unlike back home. He might be overdoing it a little, but he does pop back out to visit the support tents after each destroyed space - to refuel both physically and with touch energy. Nonetheless, he doesn't really take breaks and sleeps maybe a couple hours before pressing on again. ]
[ His efforts are rewarded when they finally make it to the site of the battle; unfortunately, it seems there are more hurdles before they can actually get close enough to help. ]
[ There's a forcefield device nearby, but of course before he can make it, there's a huge shadow monster - at least twice as tall as him - suddenly emerging in front of him and whoever had joined him for this fight. Tendrils reach forward -- ]
Watch out!
[ He's slamming into his companion shoulder-first, knocking them both into a snow-pile; luckily it seems they've managed to successfully avoid the vines... ]
[ Did he, though? ]
-- 3. Waiting in the Shadows: Part 1
[ Fifty thousand coins is certainly good motivation all by itself. Add it to the fact that it's apparently necessary in order to help the world again and may continue to be beneficial in the future, and there you have it, one grumpy little man sitting shirtless in the tattoo tent, the shape of Wings of Freedom gradually growing clearer on his back as the fairies and/or tattoo artists work on filling in the dark parts. ]
[ He turns his head slightly to give you a blank what are you looking at stare, but says nothing. ]
-- 4. Waiting in the Shadows: Part 2
[ Levi doesn't rush in head-first; there's little use of 3DMG inside a house which means he will be at a disadvantage, so he does his best to observe the place, then see how others are fighting and how the monster is reacting. ]
[ Then he finally strolls into the house himself; he decides to start methodically combing the building and so starts with the first door to the left, creaking it open and peering inside, the darkness illuminated by gentle silvery light, as if there was a full moon right in the middle of the ceiling, and sure enough, there's a weird arm sprouting from the far wall. ]
[ Levi's not expecting company, but he'll accept it without complaint - and he'll glance to make sure if whoever has joined him is read before sending an icy blast at the distended shadowy limb. ]
-- 5. Waiting in the Shadows: Part 3
[ After the monster is finally defeated, there's an invitation waiting for him. And while part of Levi thinks he should just take the teleport crystal home so he can take a bath in his own flat today, there's something very tempting about the promise of a luxury airship. ]
[ Surely they've got baths too, right? ]
[ And so, he ends up on the weird, airborne equivalent of a retirement cruise, headed back home. He's a simple man at heart, but he does appreciate good quality when he can afford it, and he'd be lying if he said this whole thing wasn't nice. The food is good, the tea is excellent quality, there definitely are baths - both a huge one in his private quarters and some sort of a spa court in the top deck. He's not going to put mud on his face, but a massage does sound nice, even if it means he has to loiter around in a ridiculous fluffy bathrobe while waiting for his turn. ]
[ He's got a peach smoothie, though, so it's tolerable. ]
[ You may run into him in the massage parlour, the restaurant, the space where everyone's playing silly old-people-on-a-vacation team games (charades, darts, two truths one lie or whatever else), or outside on the deck leaning against the railing, admiring the clouds and the scenery below. ]
[ And if your name is Erwin or Hange, you might even be asked to draw him a bath... ]
