[ Nenonen takes that hand the instant it's held out for them, fingers entwining with hers in a way that's filled with affection. Being reassured they aren't a burden lifts a weight from their heart that creeps up on them in times like these. The memory of Knives getting hurt protecting them is something that will probably never go away--but it's made them strive to be better. To make sure they're able to look after themself, and so no one will ever need to get hurt on their behalf.
