Levi considers asking him to just give it to him. If there's another kid who wants a lantern, Levi could just give them his and then catch more for himself. But maybe they'd want to do it themselves, too. Hm, maybe the man's plan works better after all.

There's also the question why he's so sure he can't put anything else in there, but maybe he knows something Levi doesn't.
