It was a large mirror made of crystal - its borders a clear blue, but its face was a striking black like obsidian. I had been told many times, over many years, of its ability to tell you the truth... and though I had meditated on this thought before the Mirror itself just as many times, I had never seen a single image within its glass.
It cannot tell you a truth when there is none to be had.
Despite this, it exuded a sort of awesomeness I have felt matched by no other - just being near it, you could feel the power it held. And its chamber was a wonderful place for a bit of solitude, considering it had been locked for centuries. But I, of course, can warp myself wherever I like... locks mean nothing to me.
