And what a person may add can also vary depending on the region. For example, where I hail from, tea is often prepared not with hot water, but hot yak milk, for a smooth, rich texture. It is also common to add a sweet syrup made from boiled birch tree sap. I favour a splash of this syrup myself, though it seems there is none to be found here, alas. [He shrugs]
