[ This has been a long time coming. Two best friends hang out with their boyfriends! (Or boyfriend and beau.) Fortunately, the cold weather has passed, and everything seems to be back to normal. Before ringing the doorbell to Yoimiya's apartment, Cloud and Ayaka stopped by a place to get some drinks and snacks to bring. There's tea leaves (because Ayaka...............), but it was Cloud's suggestion to buy some beers and a bottle of vodka. For snacks, a box of tiny cakes, a few bags of chips, and Yan Yans. They make for a good dessert!

Everyone's cheerful and in a good mood once introduction's have been made. Once the food's ready and everyone's seated, it's time to dig in! It's best to have a full stomach before playing a bunch of video games, after all. Whatever they may be... ]

What kind of games are we going to play? [ Ayaka does not know anything. ] There was a game that Cloud and I played recently. There was a tower made from blocks, and we would pull a block out, answer the question written on it, then put it at the top.

It was fun. The questions were a little embarrassing, though.

[ The congratulations and praise is great and all, but it's Cloud's that has the most effect on her. It's not enough to make her feel like she can beat any of them once more, but it certainly makes her feel very good about this victory! ]

Hehe. Thank you! Everyone did well.

[ She thinks, anyway...

But before they can start playing again, they're supposed to celebrate, right? ]

We are supposed to take those shots now, aren't we?

[ She only gets to drink one! That's the real victory here, lbr. ]

[The salt being thrown his way doesn't seem to bother him in the slightest, still smiling ear to ear about at least beaten the two of them. Cloud's right though, they really did all sabotage each other to ensure Ayaka's victory, but he's learned already that this is the name of the game anyway, and it's not surprising that it ended up this way. He's lost his fair share of games to Yoimiya to getting screwed by the CPU.]

Well, this was only the practice round, but I don't see why not if those who are open to taking a shot want to.

[Having said that, Tartaglia leans over and pours himself a shot, tipping it back and sighing with satisfaction as the burn from the drink runs down the back of his throat.]

Ah...there's nothing quite like a good vodka to go with any good competition...and I guess if I start drinking now, I can give this little allegiance that's formed against me a bit of an advantage that they'll surely need if they have any hope of beating me.

[He glances over to Yoimiya and Cloud, the smirk on his face wide. Bring it, you two >:D]

[ "Hehe. Thank you! Everyone did well." Oh, Ayaka is so sweet, so precious, her kind words do wonders in appeasing Yoimiya's salt. As does Cloud's gesture of goodwill. She smiles at his proferred fist, giving him a small bump right back. Alliance get! Now that the two blondes are working together, they'll be unstoppable! No Harbinger will get past them. She's looking quite proud of herself until Tartaglia makes his declaration of war.

This guy... this guy.

Yeah, there's no way he's getting away with that, she's determined to beat him at his own game. Likewise, she pours herself a shot, drinking it one gulp. Ever since they started dating, she's gotten used to the strong taste of Snezhnayan Fire-Water. The burn hitting her throat elicits a delightful sigh out of her as wipes her lips with the back of her hand. Fire burns behind her golden eyes as she grabs Tartaglia by his shirt collar, bringing him down to meet her at eye level. ]

Bring it on. I'll wipe that smug smirk right off your handsome face, buddy.

[ ... She's not even drunk yet. SORRY YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS, AYAKA AND CLOUD SOBS. ]

[Whoop down he goes. One second he's doing a little gloating and the next his eyes are staring right back into the fire of his girlfriend's that threatens to mash him right into the ground. To which, of course, he meets with an even more smug look on his face. Riling up Yoimiya has never gotten old since the day they started dating and it's great even now in front of others. He's not in the slightest bit embarrassed.]

Bold words, but can you live up to them? Hahahahaha...

[His eyes narrow just to challenge her even more. Do it Yoimiya, he dares you, whatever it is she's planning in that competitive head of hers. The fighting talk here is great, and he's going to enjoy it no matter what she chooses LOL]

I hope you're not all talk and no show. Going toe to toe with me in shots won't make you a better driver.

[ He knows her well enough by now; if the laws of Nippon were still in play, he'd imagine Ayaka would have a crown of dancing sakuras floating around her head by now. It was a practice round, but at the same time...they all got really competitive. And he can't be too salty about losing the way he did. In hindsight it was funny, and Ayaka winning was the best part to him. But now that they're all settled... ]

Hit me.

[ One...two...thre- ]

Shit that's four shots, huh.

[ YOIMIYA'S WORDS. But, seeing as everyone's getting a singular shot of Snezhnayan Fire-Water, Cloud is quick enough to retract what might have been a terrible practice-round punishment. Huffing, he accepts the shot with a nod. ]

Woulda been. I mean.

[ He's tried some pretty hard stuff before, but he also doesn't drink often either. Funny enough? It wasn't until Cloud met Ayaka that he actually had the chance to more leisurely enjoy a drink from time to time. Knocking the shot back, the burn causes his eyes to widen straightaway. He doesn't come out entirely unscathed, but at least he doesn't go coughing and sputtering. Instead, he clears his throat and lets out a low growl of a sigh. ]

Haah.

[ But just as he's downed his shot and set it on the table, is right about the time his fellow blonde compatriot is getting up in the face of her boyfriend. ]

...

[ Looks to Ayaka. Looks back at them. ]

I would like to consider it a real race!

[ CHILDE SHE WON!!!! YOU CAN'T JUST TAKE THAT AWAY FROM HER BY CALLING IT A PRACTICE ROUND :(((((

And she would absolutely be heartbroken if not for Tartaglia playing along. And everyone else, too! It was an official race now, and no one can take it back. Admittedly, Ayaka's a little worked up too, but for a different reason. She's more determined to show a bit more competitive spirit. After taking a shot (and wincing at how strong it tastes) and plopping back in her seat, she stares at her joycon for a few good moments.

Good god. She needs something to wash the taste away, but she is unaware that chasers exist. And so, with an awful taste in her mouth, she looks back at her friends to ask if they would like to go again.

She thought Yoimiya and Tartaglia were just being competitive, but it certainly is hot in here, huh? And it would be rude to call any attention to this tension, so she just looks away and waits.

... okay, maybe just one more look. Are they going to smush their faces together? Will Yoimiya get back to the game? It is hard to tell. . . And it's these thoughts that distract her from realising that Cloud is even looking at her, reading her mind. ]

[ If Yoimiya was in the right state of mind, she would be proud to see Ayaka and Cloud taking their first shots of Fire-Water like champs. (NEVER MIND THE WINCING, SHE THINKS YOU DID GREAT AYAKA!) She vaguely hears Cloud saying something about taking four shots, her words from earlier have yet to even dawn on her, far too consumed with engaging in this questionable stare-down with her boyfriend that may or may not have a bit of steamy tension in the air.

Just a bit.

She narrows her eyes at Tartaglia, his pompous taunts rile her up even further. Who does this brat think he is with that stupid smirk that somehow grows even more smug, those big blue eyes that light a fire in her competitive heart, his dashing good looks that have the power to make her melt... focus, Yoimiya, focus!

He's daring her to do her worst? Heh, she knows exactly how to wipe that smirk right off his face. Without any single ounce of hesitation or shame, she yoinks her brat boyfriend down to crash their lips together for an... angry (???) kiss. LOOK, SHE HAS A POINT TO PROVE—

... Okay, maybe she is a little drunk. SORRY AYAKA AND CLOUD, she'll apologize for this later. ~~But she's not embarrassed shaiogh SOBS~~ ]

[See, he's got a competition to win here so he's putting all his focus on that at the moment. He can tell by the way Yoimiya bristles at him that he's successfully ruffled a few more of her feathers, and who knows what she's going to choose to do moving forward from here. He even tilts his head to the side in a bratty manner to up the ante, sort of in the same way he'd taunt an opponent on the battlefield, and much to his delight Yoimiya strikes by yanking him down into her.

Tartaglia can't say he's surprised, internally chuckling to himself even as she forcefully kisses him, going along with it as he opens his mouth just so to pull her further into it, eyes fluttering shut. If he could smirk through this right now, he would, but as it stands his lips are a little too busy caressing hers to be able to do it. One of his hands snakes up into the back of her head to tangle his fingers into her hair, holding her head in place...while his other hand reaches upwards, comes down between their faces, and...

Pinch.

Childe pinches her nose shut as his eyes open halfway to give her the most mischievous look he can muster before they close again and he continues to kiss her further and deeper as they go. He hopes she took a good, deep breath before diving in like that, because his plan is to make her tap out of this <3

He also hopes Ayaka and Cloud enjoy the show ;)]

[ There's a raging, untamed fire burning in her heart but even with her anger at it's peak, she can't help but melt into their combatitive kiss. Soft noises bubble out of her with every pass of his lips, delighting in the feel of his fingers coiling with her messy blonde hair. Likewise, if Yoimiya could smirk, she would, feeling proud of herself for successfully wiping that ~~sexy~~ smirk off his arrogant face.

She feels on top of the world, until he RUDELY pinches her nose.

Immediately, her eyes snap wide open as he cuts off the air flow to her nose. Oh, she's not this lying taking down. Looks like Tartaglia is going to get what he wants, she releases the grip her fingers have on his collar to tap out... in the form of throwing her whole body to tackle him to the floor. Her petite self fights back with all of her might, locking one of her legs between his to wrestle with him. She keeps a firm hold on him, pulling his arms behind him in an attempt to get on his back to defeat this Harbinger once and for all. ]

Ya wanna go punk?! You'll be begging to go back home to Snezhnaya by the time I'm done with you.

[ Forget M▊▊▊▊ Kart, they're playing real-life Super Smash Bros now. Of course, she doesn't forget to include her friends! She briefly glances back over to the poor couple on the couch, in need of a power-up item. ]

Pass me a pillow.

[ Hope Ayaka and Cloud enjoy the after dinner show. ]

[ Maybe it's because of all the time he spent in Nippon? But he somehow had a feeling that this was the direction the two were going in. Maybe not...risqué? But still, Cloud's got a good grasp on this type of 'tension' by now. So he quietly clears his throat, but otherwise keeps to his silence as his cheeks understandably go a light shade of pink. But he can't just watch them. He has to look over at Ayaka to see if she's still watching.

Because. What do they do?

Thankfully, Tartaglia is the one that takes things in a more playful direction despite the fact Cloud's at least flustered. Poor Yoimiya. Now he's on your side even more. Especially after the two get into an IRL Smash Bros. fight. ~~Careful. As of tagging, Cloud is currently top tier.~~ ]

[ "Pass me a pillow." ]

[ Doesn't even hesitate. Here's a pillow, Yoimiya. Yeet. ]

[ Poor Yoimiya, indeed! Ayaka can only help but cover her mouth from the shock. What are these two doing... Though, she imagines if Cloud ever pulled a stunt like that on her, she would be upset, as well.

Maybe not commit acts of violence against him, but he would receive the poutiest of all pouts that one could ever pout.

She does not reach for the pillow, even though she is on Yoimiya's side. She always will be! Besties for life. Instead, what she offers are words that she should have shared with him a long time ago. ]

Please be kind to Yoimiya, Tartaglia. If you make her upset again... then... then I am afraid I can no longer standby and watch.

[ She's going to hit him with a pillow, too. >:T Cloud can look away and keep a secret and never tell anyone she did that. ]

[The second she lets go of the collar of his shirt, he knows what's coming.

Tartaglia feels himself tip over as Yoimiya throws herself against him, going with it knowing that he'd sealed his fate the second that he even touched her nose. He couldn't help it, he knew what he was doing- and now he's paying the consequences for it. He laughs some more as they both wrestle on the ground, enjoying himself even as Yoimiya pulls his arms behind him.]

Ow-! Hahaha, c'mon, all I did was plug her nose-!!! This unfair treatment can only be remedied with fierce combat- ouch! That was my arm! Hahaha, help! Someone help!

[Yoimiya's put him on his stomach, looking back to see Cloud toss Yoimiya a pillow. Looks like the beatings will continue until morale improves and no one's going to swoop in to save him LOL]

[ Ayaka and Cloud are the real ones here, she can always count on them to have her back. Item get! Skillfully, she somehow manages to catch Cloud's fluffy power-up boost with one hand while keeping her no-good boyfriend pinned to the floor. ]

Unfair treatment? I thought you liked picking fights. Don't tell me the big bad Harbinger can't handle this little country girl all on his own.

[ Now that he's turned over on his stomach, she gets on top of him and proceeds to smack him over and over again with the pillow. If anyone else wants to join in and throttle him with a pillow, by all means. The Harbinger must be defeated at all costs. ]

[ Let's be real. Cloud would tease with his words instead of plugging her nose. He did teach her how to swim, after all. Last thing he'd want is to go nostril clogging. Though he would be a bold-faced liar if he didn't think that Ayaka's pout wasn't cute. Just gotta savour them when they happen naturally. Watching Yoimiya and Tartaglia wrestle around on the ground, with the latter laughing it up even when she pulls his arms behind him and turns him on his stomach, it's becoming more and more easier to forget that some time ago, his comrades were trying to uproot Inazuma one way or another. ]

... [ He turns to Ayaka. ] ... [ Don't— ] Kamisato Art: Makura Kōgeki?

[ Why does Pillow Attack sound so much more intimidating in Inazuman? ~~Because you're a closet weeb, Cloud.~~ ]

[ Sighing, he squeezes Ayaka's thigh on his way to standing up from the couch. The second pillow on the couch in hand. Be right back. This is for the clan's honour.

"That was my arm! Hahaha, help! Someone help!"

That's around the time that Cloud can be seen squatting down in front of the grounded Harbinger, pillow slung over his shoulder like he would a sword. ]

Sorry. [ Wake the fuck up, Samurai. ] Gotta get one in for that blue shell.

[ In which Cloud prepares to 'gently' bring his pillow down for a good thwap. ]

[ Oh dear, even Cloud is joining in on this massacre. For a moment, she glances at yet another pillow, wondering if she should also join but. . .

Ayaka has dignity. Even though it looks fun, she decides to just watch from the sidelines. ]

There is no help coming for you, Tartaglia! In the name of the Raiden Shogun, you are to pay for all your dastardly deeds!

[ (Doesn't mean she isn't above cheering and rooting for her besties, though.) ]

[Thwap, thwap, thwap goes Yoimiya's pillow against his back, his head, hitting him pretty much everywhere that's exposed. Tartaglia lets out faux cries of pain between laughter, looking up from the ground and blinking once as Cloud crouches in front of him while Yoimiya berates him during her assault.]

Huh...?

[Thwap.]

Ahhhh!

[He takes yet another hit, Ayaka cheering against him for his "dastardly deeds," Come on now, what dastardly deeds have I committed to deserve this! and it's about here where he decides that if the world is against him, then he needs to fight back and reclaim his dignity from this clearly unjust punishment he's suffering!]

Oh, now you'll pay for this! You better hold on tight-!

[With Yoimiya sitting on him, he pushes himself up off the ground, on his hands and knees now, free from the prison that is the floor! He has become!

A horsie.

So much for that reclaimed dignity and all.]

[ AYAKA'S GOT IT RIGHT! The Harbinger must be punished for his dastardly deeds. Feeling empowered by her friend's encouragement, there's not a shred of mercy in her swings as she wails on him, hitting anywhere and everywhere she can with her cushiony weapon. And to add insult to injury, Cloud makes his grand entrance... delivering a well-deserved bop. Oh, this is priceless, she's happy that Cloud managed to get his revenge as well.

But then, he suddenly rises from the ground and in turn, lifts her up while still sitting on his back. She stops mid-swing, looking down in confusion until, oh.

This just got even more priceless. ]

Hahahaha! Oh my goodness... what are you? A horse? Hahaha, look, look! I got a steed.

[ She's gonna reach over and...

Give him a light smack on the butt. Giddy-Up, Horsey!

So much for reclaiming his dignity indeed. What would the Tsaritsa think? But hey, at least she's laughing now. ]

[ "In the name of the Raiden Shogun, you are to pay for all your dastardly deeds!" ]

[ This is dumb. ]

[ "Oh, now you'll pay for this! You better hold on tight-!" ]

[ Someone he's been told was a dangerous Harbinger, a member of a faction that saw to uproot Inazuma in the name of the Tsaritsa, was bucking Yoimiya on his back like a steed needing breaking in.

This is absurd... ]

[ "-what are you? A horse? Hahaha, look, look! I got a steed." ]

[ Cloud used to think that he was more mature than the other kids growing up. He's over here, on an in-home double date, playing video games and now dryly thwapping a man with a pillow while his girlfriend declares he will pay. All the while said manhorse is getting ridden by his own girlfriend. ]

[ So then...how come Cloud was smiling so much? How come he was failing to keep his voice in, shoulders shaking with a chuckle? At first, he looks up to Ayaka from where she's seated, a look of disbelief in his eyes. Disbelief that this is a page of his life, and that he was going to remember it fondly. This was okay...right? Looking up at Yoimiya from his squatted position, her sunny smile and laughter is contagious. And finally, sharing a more sympathetic look with the 'Horsey', bright mako blues meeting the purer color in the Harbinger's. ]

Ride 'em cowgirl much?

[ You can take the boy out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the boy. ]

[ This horse man represents the leader of Snezhnaya, and here he is, acting like a horse... Truly a man of dignity. Truly a great ambassador of the Cryo Archon.

It's pretty shocking at first! But Ayaka realises that she's seeing first hand just how much fun Yoimiya has with Tartaglia, and there's something about that that warms her heart.

She's pulled out her device to take a video of the whole thing, Yoimiya laughing and the smack she gives Tartaglia caught on camera.

The laughter really is contagious. And she's covering her mouth when she laughs, while her other pans the camera to focus on Tartaglia, then at Cloud. ]

[At first, he glances upwards to see Yoimiya laughing and having fun, which he hopes has gotten him out of the hot water he put himself in to begin with, softly yelping with a soft Hey! when she smacks his butt. His plan isn't to be a horsey for very much longer, but his eyes meet that of Cloud's own blue, stopping him in his tracks when he asks that.

First, Tartaglia's face adopts a light shade of pink, not having expected him to ask that out of all the questions in the entire world, before his head drops down and his entire body seems to shake with a silent laughter. He looks up with a grin on his face, face still a little red but he isn't missing a shred of confidence on his face when he responds:]

Every chance I get.

[MAYBE A LITTLE TMI BUT CLOUD ASKED SO

he is also unaware of being filmed loooool]

[ SORRY NOT SORRY FOR HER BOYFRIEND, CLOUD. This is her beloved Tartaglia, confident even as Snezhnaya's greatest horse man. Most people would probably feel some semblance of embarrassment but this is Yoimiya we're talking about.

Thus, there's not a hint of embarrassment nor shame when she speaks with a big bright smile. ]

Pretty sure that's how he likes it best.

[ NOBODY ASKED, YOIMIYA........

Because a certain blonde is still feeling like a brat, she isn't going to say a word about Ayaka on camera. He's gonna find out when it's too late. >:D In the back of her mind, she's already making a note to ask her brilliant friend for the video later, mwahahahaha. ]

[ ... wwwhat's with the look on Tartaglia's face. Was he just now getting embarrassed about how his girlfriend was riding him— ]

[ "Every chance I get." ]

[ "Pretty sure that's how he likes it best." ]

[ Wha- ]

[ He reels back, eyes wide and his breath catching in his throat. ]

[ Oh. He. Is. Red. /// He looks up to Ayaka just in time to catch her recording them all. Congrats. You got your beau's face lit up red like a firework.
