thankfully he's well aware of the enemy in front of himself, and while it thinks he's distracted it tries to hurl fire his way that is quickly repelled with a water blade. from above hijikata likely can see clashes of water against fire, smoke sizzling where the two elements meet before fading. more so as time goes on and ayato keeps pushing it back. }
