Reiner waits as long as he can, listening to Hakkai's retreating footsteps. He pulls the knife from his belt. When those footsteps stop, a few droplets of blood splatter across the ground.
A bolt of golden lightning cracks down from the sky, striking where Reiner stands, thunder booming as it presumably engulfs him. A wave of searing heat rolls off that point, hot enough to burn anyone too close, instantly killing them. When the flash of light clears, there stands a massive creature.
The Armored Titan. Fifteen meters tall with hardened plates all over its body. Blond hair a match for Reiner's, golden eyes glowing behind semi-opaque lenses.
This is the form that Reiner used to smash through a Wall that withstood attacks for a century. This is the form that can plow through buildings and hurl trains.
The remaining kelpies don't stand a chance. Not confined as they are, weakened by Hakkai and Reiner's earlier attacks, burned by his Titan transformation. Not when they've been kept from the water by the pit and Hakkai's force field, their remaining moisture sucked away by the searing heat in the air. Not when their venomous manes can't find real flesh.
When it's over, the Armored stands upright, scanning the area for the kelpie that fled. Wary about the chance of it circling back. At that point, Reiner tries to contact Hakkai, using an Autumn power to engage in one-way telepathy.

"Can you hear me? It's done."
