Thus far I've only found it useful in amplifying my other magic.

[Which is funny considering when he got here she was trying to use the very magic he pointed out would spread her own curse. Tarjya was surely somewhere out there lamenting at him not taking his medicine and her being completely reckless.]

I - [know that. At least she'd been about to say that when Joshua decided to sprint towards their fire-breathing friend. It nearly stops her heart for half a second, that instinct to keep him safe for Clive's sake (and her own) making her heart rise into her throat.

She knows she can't do that if they don't both follow the plan he's laid out, so she runs after him, launching herself forward using a stream of ice to aim her rapier right for the beast's eye. It can't keep it's eyes on both her and Joshua, so surely it couldn't have seen her coming?

That line of thinking didn't seem to hold water. She is knocked off balance when it begins thrashing it's head and has to scramble to recover, throwing up an ice shield to prevent the beast from burning her. It isn't enough, not nearly enough ice when she isn't primed. She jumps back, startled when the ice evaporates quickly and one of her sleeves is singed in her scurry to dodge the beast.

It's quickly apparent that all is not well when she is holding her arm close to her side, sleeve bloodied and singed, but she refuses to let the thing look at Joshua. He had been a distraction so that she could get an opening, so she does the same for him and creates large icicles that jut out from the ground, trapping one of the beast's back legs to hold it in place
