Have at it.

[ Cloud takes a step back to grant Ayaka enough space when she lifts herself up with wind magic once more. To himself, he muses...one of these days he's going to spend some more time training his own magic up to be on par with her. It's actually really impressive how she carries herself. Mindful not to stand right underneath her, he follows her around the tower to ensure he'll be there to catch her in a worst-case scenario. She's far more methodical when it comes to extracting blocks, that's for certain.

She's back down, and they're there to read the prompt together. This...is so tame? He can't help but think about how easy Ayaka was getting it in comparison to him. Then again, it was hard to tell how embarrassed he really was- what with the way he powered through his own blocks and the more risqué nature of it. He already has an idea as to where this is going. ]

Yeah?

[ Yet...he still felt woefully unprepared for just how sincere she was. Or for how long she would go on for in describing her type. Looks. Personality. And this time, it's Cloud whose left watching with a sense of wonder in those 'lovely' eyes of his. This girl... They exchange how they feel with one another often enough. How luck favors one of them so much to have found the other. And yet now, here he stands, miniaturized with his significant other as he can't help but ask himself...

He's dreaming. He's genuinely dreaming. Right? This is like any other dream he carries in his heart when he thinks about her. The ones that don't remanifest as ruinous nightmares, where they watch a star-kissed sky together atop his little Kyoto rooftop. Make wishes for one another. How he counts her as his one and only star. The only one he could or wanted to wish to. He even huffs with a stifled laugh when she talks of his overconfidence. Cloud's been told he's been quite cocky.

And as he came more into his own and out of that role he made of himself as a former SOLDIER, that arrogance was tempered into something harder. More resolute. Confidence unshakeable when it came to protecting what he cares about most. He could stop her. But why would he? Not when he hasn't seen her look so happy in such a long, long time.

Here they are again. Another memory he wishes he could put on repeat. Loop time for this moment, as strong as the first time she ever bade him keep his eyes on her. ]

Ayaka...

[ And so, kept on her they shall stay. His face feels warm, and he only looks down and away for a fleeting moment to recompose himself. Before coolly smiling back. ]

Can't say I blame him. [ With a cadence rarer, reserved for someone he loves, he answers her back. ] He's got a lot of good reasons to keep it up.
