That insinuates touch, doesn't it - They may not seem like it right away, but Shigeru something of a peer, here; someone else who tenses up at the idea of being touched by another, and even moreso when they need it. Is it a phobia? Close to it. They're just getting used to being touched again after going thousands - perhaps hundreds of thousands - of years without.
(Part of them wonders if this really is better than just sucking it up, dying, and coming back thanks to Ellipsa's magic later... but they would really, really, really rather not worry the few people they've grown close to thus far, so. They'll suck it up and take the touch, instead.)
The way they tense up as Shigeru moves away their robes is noticeable and telling, but they're good about it regardless - sitting still as he presses that needle into their arm, doing their best not to move as the potion's administered. And once they're free of Shigeru's hand again... they slowly start to relax, taking a moment to move their arm to look at that bandaid.
... It's cute. They probably haven't even seen a bandaid in way too long, anyway - the idea that it may be made for kids is completely lost on them.]
