Any chance you could make it to a birthday party sometime this week?

[ When you actually show up to the park near Flynn's one-bedroom apartment, you'll know where the party is right away: chains of wildflowers string trees together around the clearing, and there's a big buffet table covered with lots of (clearly labeled for different dietary needs) food. The recipes definitely lean Japanese, and most of it's handmade, but there's also a selection of storebought snacks still in their wrappers for some reason. ]

[That's a rhetorical question at best, especially since Flynn doesn't know him.

Thankfully, all of that is about to change as he presents the blond a tall bottle of premium BCS Line 25 Year Whisky. That bottle is worth a king's ransom and then some. While Rosen recognizes that not everyone can be a functional drunk like him, he made sure to find a brand of whisky with a hint of sweetness to it. The palate for this particular brew contains halva, molasses, and chocolate syrup. This is the kind of high quality booze that you need to hide from folks like Venti.]

Drink wisely, my friend, or risk making a fool of yourself before daybreak.

[He gives Flynn a playful wink~]

[Flynn slowly opens it, and he holds it up spreading it out. He blinks and his cheeks flush and he smiles a big smile. He looks at Saya and starts to fold up the blanket.]

Saya, it's wonderful. I love it. It's something thoughtful that Yuri and I can use and it's very personal. I can tell you put a lot of thought into it.

[He hugs it close to his chest again and comes over to give her a hug with his open arm.]

[ She is so ridiculously relieved! When Yuri acted like she gave him spoiled milk or something she thought she really missed the mark. She will take that one-armed hug! ]

I'm so glad. And I made it, actually. I used to make these things all the time back when it was a thing women did all day.

[That's a cake all right, and Flynn just looks perplexed at it and presses a hand over his face embarrassed.]

I'm sure this cake will taste delicious.

[He smiles to Kantera, brightening at the other's presence.]

[ There were So Many Things going on in his head at the sight of it (like how much a blanket says you're sharing a bed but in a cuter and cozier and — for him personally — infinitely more embarrassing way than a sex toy would've), but to his credit he does freeze up immediately at her tone, eyes darting up to her face, and oh wow that was the worst reaction he could've possibly had, wasn't it. ]

[ Venti sweeps in just slightly late (fashionably!), carrying a wreath very similar to the one he's brought to the Soft House housewarming party, as well as something else tucked into an envelope. Perhaps the wreath was even made by hand . . . ? ]

It's a reverse-surprise party! Where the guests are surprised instead~

[ There is, thankfully, a cooler full of ice! Two of them, actually, because he definitely invited some kids, and wine coolers look an awful lot like soda, so. sjdlkfjs edits the WHERE bit, totally forgot to after i moved the party very slightly ]

Rude, wow. And on my maybe-birthday, too.

[ He takes the bottles with a wink and puts them into the appropriate cooler (let's say black). ]

No, this party is for him. [ A head-jerk in Flynn's general direction. ] The blond guy with the blue-green puppy eyes who looks like he thinks he's supposed to be checking people's coats at the door or something.

[ ...There's a lot of fondness in his tone despite himself. ]

[Flynn quietly smiles to Rosenkrantz and takes the bottle gingerly looking at it. He's never really drank, always been on duty, so he smiles and holds it up to show it back to the newcomer.]

How about you and I have a drink of it together? It seems like that would be the best use for this gift.

[He reaches out with his free hand for a shake.]

[Someone has only spoken with Flynn once but received an invite anyway, and honestly has no idea how they even got here. Tall and slender as a rush of cattails on the edge of a glade, with a very loudly floral shirt to match their friendly manner, Athena showed up and was all smiles-- prepared to chatter to anyone that listened.

And, for the hosts, was a pale yellow, effervescent liquid in a glass bottle that was decorated with a bundle of daisies tied to it's neck with a neat little bow.

Without context, there wasn't much to go by... but that cake provided plenty of context on it's own.]

It's a seashell! That one's from a pink abalone, but I have lots of different kinds from home, and the beaches here have them too!

I really love shells. They're like the treasure of the ocean, right? So I thought you would want one too!

I don't know much about the flowers, but this will look nice on the door when I move in with you all.
