Any chance you could make it to a birthday party sometime this week?

[ When you actually show up to the park near Flynn's one-bedroom apartment, you'll know where the party is right away: chains of wildflowers string trees together around the clearing, and there's a big buffet table covered with lots of (clearly labeled for different dietary needs) food. The recipes definitely lean Japanese, and most of it's handmade, but there's also a selection of storebought snacks still in their wrappers for some reason. ]

Definitely. Bigger maybe? Everyone came together just to be with each other, and we just enjoyed the company and the festivities.

Presents definitely weren't a part of that, so I told Yuri to make sure they know they didn't need to bring any, but I honestly don't know if they'll listen.

[Of course Flynn doesn't personally know too many people, but the ones he invited hopefully would come. He quietly starts to tidy up the small kitchen and the dishes that had piled up.]

You are telling me, that you think I'm perfect?

[Flynn snorts and again looks at Yuri and starts to tick things off on his fingers.]

I don't make friends easily, I push boundaries sometimes when I shouldn't, I literally fell into following orders without question when I knew better, I don't know how to relax, and I have a pretty good temper that gets the best of me sometimes.

That's only the beginning of my faults.

I am not perfect.

But you know what? No one is.

It's not that I believe in the idea of "being there first," necessarily, but -- you've been important to one another for so long, and I know what you mean to him. I know just how happy you'll make him. If I care for him, impeding that would be the opposite of what I want, don't you think?
