[ When you actually show up to the park near Flynn's one-bedroom apartment, you'll know where the party is right away: chains of wildflowers string trees together around the clearing, and there's a big buffet table covered with lots of (clearly labeled for different dietary needs) food. The recipes definitely lean Japanese, and most of it's handmade, but there's also a selection of storebought snacks still in their wrappers for some reason. ]

It can be a long engagement. Also, it's not like we haven't lived together, continue to live together, and haven't seen the worst parts of each other.

[ He genuinely hesitates, like he thinks maybe touching the ring will — burn him or something. More like he thinks it'll burn Flynn. But he does take it.

[ But Yuri hasn't said "oops, I was going to say something and then I got carried away, sorry about that, I should have said something" or anything to that effect so her assumption about being an afterthought doesn't feel very incorrect. Being slightly flustered is his punishment! ]

[He holds out the ring on the chain to Yuri so that he can look at the black gold ring on the chain. On it is a small moon with a stone.]

[ Yuri knows how the temporary death thing works, unfortunately. He wouldn't love it, but it would probably be less bad than Flynn fears. ]

It's like getting injured and passing out, and then you wake up healed. It could be a lot worse. [ Like you could get killed and also wake up with a whole slew of crazy status effects. ]

I know he means a lot to us both, and I wanted some way to put that where we can have him close even if we are separated.

[Judith has a connection with these sorts of things through her nageeg, though she isn't exactly sure what is off about it. Her gaze lands on the crow as she carries out another plate of piping out of croquettes from a nearby apartment]

Oh? Sharing might be good for it.

[Judith hides a laugh behind her hand and she cocks her head in the direction of Flynn's kitchen where she had taken over to cook]

Well, if you're going in now, I'll have to give you a hand. I doubt the food out there will last long at this rate.
