Memory Portals (Late May)

[The memory started in a huge, ornately decorated entrance hall of sorts. Mami herself was in her Magical Girl form, atop a stairway that seemed rather too large for her trembling figure. A few other Magical Girls were at the bottom of the stairs, others watched from a balcony some distance away. Mami staggered back, desperately clutching hold of a golden pin- one that matched the decorations on the walls. She stared wildly around her as her eyes and the golden, flower-like gem in her hair swirled with darkness.

"There was nothing beyond that hope I had grasped-! Were you fooling us?"

The others either stared in horror, or seemed unnaturally calm- Notably, the ones on the balcony, who bore those same golden pins on their clothes...their leader smiling at the question, calmly sipping her tea.

"At this rate, everyone..." Mami's outfit was shifting. Rapidly stained itself a pure, bright white, a cloak forming around her body. Perhaps, under other circumstances, the gold ring of light that manifested behind her would seem almost akin to a halo. Her voice cracked, a desperate, crazed expression in her face. "We'll all become witches that scatter despair!"

The halo glowed brightly.

"Everyone will be saved. We have that right!"

And then, that haunting, broken smile. Countless muskets burst from the golden glow at her back. One after another after another until they filled the air. Turning. Pointing at the others. "I swear I'll be the one... to accomplish that...!"]

...This is...I'm sorry, that you have to see this.

[The real Mami could not keep her eyes on the scene in front of her- and it was only when she realised that she wasn't alone that she stopped herself from clasping her hands over her ears. Instead, gripping them tight together in front of her. All of this was...a reminder of their fate that she wanted desperately to block out.]

Birthday Celebrations (June 5th)

[Mami hadn't intended on making a big deal out of her birthday, but after finding a large bunch of flowers outside her room, she decided to try and organise something after all- and thankfully, she was able to book the private room at the Equinox Bakery in Sunwaning where she works for the tea party.

And as it's Mami, she has of course arranged for teas and cute cakes and decorations. Don't ask how she organised all this on such short notice. She seemed to always have a tea set magically on hand for any occasion...

That done, she sent a few messages around to her friends to see if they were available ...It would be nice to have people there to celebrate. After a few lonely birthdays all by herself, she wished that this occasion would be different. As it was, she lit up immediately when someone came by-]

Ah~ Thank you for coming!

[ooc: Her definition of 'friend' can be summed up as 'had a positive conversation with one time' so feel free to assume you get an invite if you want one!]

Abandoned Mansion/Autumn Airship Station (June 8th)

[Despite seeing a message about the Abandoned Mansion being closed off...Mami couldn't help but end up returning to that place regardless, taking the Airship to avoid too long a journey. As had been announced, the barrier was there, blocking off anyone from entering...

...She truly had gotten lucky. Her and Homura had been able to escape that place, despite their earlier exploration and the monster they encountered there. However, the other person who had posted to the network had not been so fortunate. Mami found herself shivering.

It should have been her.

Was that why she had come here? To see if it was truly sealed off, or because she thought she was meant to be the one to have died, first? What was she even supposed to accomplish here?

...She lingered outside the barrier for quite some time, before making her way back to the Airship Station. Hoping that, perhaps, she could ask the old woman there to explain once again what happened. But this did not seem to be proving very fruitful.]

Potion Teas (Late June)

Ah, excuse me, would you care to try out some experimental iced tea?

[As the weather got warmer, and Mami became more proficient in her study at the Tower of Potions, she had started experimenting with combining the effects of her potions with brewing tea- and had finally started to see some positive results!

Of course, there was a limit to the amount of tea she could drink herself (or thrust on her coworkers)! And so, she'd set up a little stall in one of the warmer segments, hoping to try and convince other people to try out her creations, now that she was sure it was safe.]

[Judith isn't the type to leave things alone on the words of others. So even though she had no business here, she had hopped on Ba'ul and flown over, to see if it was true--that this place, as dangerous as it had seemed on the video--was truly sealed off. She lands not too far away, her footsteps almost soundless as she walks up to the mansion, studying it, in time to see Mami walk away muttering to herself]

[ Tighnari has no context for whatever is going on here, of course. What he can recognize is that something is shifting. Something that Mami doesn't want to happen, had been afraid of becoming. "Witch" might be the term, but that's likely unique to the girl's world.

[Given that Miss Tomoe should not be working on her birthday, Lelouch has been all too happy to help out with the behind-the-scenes work... to the extent that she allows it, anyway. Her independence is admirable, just also concerning (he knows all the well what it might hint at), and surely just for today, some intervention might be allowed...?

At any rate, his plan is somewhat foiled by the fact that he's technically also invited to the celebration, but as far as he's concerned, that just means it's slightly less awkward for him to sneak a present onto the pile for her. Whether or not he gets away with doing so stealthily is, of course, up for debate, but anyway.]
