WARNINGS: Drunk Painting.


[ kaveh decided to set up the paint & pour on the shores of prism lake, because a beautiful landscape seemed like something that artists of all skill level could enjoy creating. not to mention, it's also something that probably wouldn't suffer too much if/when guests inevitably started getting tispy. ]

[ there are three canopy tents framing the lake and, unsurprisingly, the first of which has all manner of art supplies: canvases, easels, and paints. the second has an assortment of delicious snacks made by shigeru and the third, final, and likely most anticipated has the wine. there are at least a dozen bottles, each labeled with the segment and shop it came from, because kaveh absolutely went around with the intention of helping them promote their business. ]

[ it's not a complete lie!
everybody wins!! ]


( ooc; feel free to assume that your character received an invitation from either kaveh or shigeru. it IS open to the public though, so if your character is strolling by and so much as makes eye contact with either of them, then they'll likely get dragged into the fun. anyway! bring your own top level~! )

[ he buries his face back in alhaitham's chest. ] It’ll be fun though. Making a space for ourselves… [ a home. ]

Do you have many ideas you'd like to include?

...mm, I do. [ smirks, moving his head over his shoulder, so he can whisper. ] A single, shared bedroom.

[rudementary]

With your sleeping habits?

[ Is he teasing or is he being serious. ]

[ he slaps a hand against his chest again. ] Don't say that like you're the king of the bedroom. [ he falls silent for a few moments before finally speaking up again, but this time his tone is no more than a whisper. ] I think it'll help me fall asleep easier... [ since he usually spends an obnoxious amount of time tossing and turning. ]

[rudementary]

[ Once again, the hand bounces off harmlessly. But at that soft whispers, Alhaitham gives a small nod of his head, glancing ahead with his gaze fixed on their apartment building so Kaveh can have that moment of vulnerability without Alhaitham's eyes on him. ]

We can try it for a while.

[ They had little choice in it, considering the state of Kaveh's room. ]

You might find you don't like sharing a bed with me after all.

…maybe. Is there even going to be any room for me. [ this time he doesn’t just give his chest a playful slap. no. this time he gropes him. ] I bet your tits take up half the bed all on their own. [ … ] They probably make good pillows… [ don’t mind him trying to awkwardly mash his face into them. ]

[rudementary]

[ There isn't much he can do that doesn't involve dropping the man in his arms, so he settles for giving him a warning pinch on the rear for taking advantage of their position. ]

Are you trying to make a case for sleeping on top of me now?

We can invest in a bigger bed if this works out.

[ kaveh's laugh is muffled. ]

Maybe. And we're trying to save, remember, so there's no point in investing in a bigger bed just yet. [ so clearly that means he's going to be sleeping on top of alhaitham. ]

Who would have expected that I'd be the one being lectured about saving money now?

[ But the words are spoken lightly and without bite, because he knows just as well what that means. ]

...and besides, maybe I want to spend my nights cuddled up alongside you. Your chest will definitely make the best pillow.

[rudementary]

[ Who would want to cuddle up to the cold Scribe of the Akademiya? Kaveh, apparently, and the idea of it gets Alhaitham to crack another faint smile of amusement. Who could have guessed, this is where their lives would take them? ]

I would have thought you liked softer things in life.

[ kaveh cozies up to his chest. ] ...what are you talking about, [ squish squish squish. ] it's incredibly soft. [ he peers up at alhaitham. ] y'Know, [ gently pokes him. ] I drew a picture of you at the paint & pour. It's in my sketchbook. It's tasteful, I swear.

[rudementary]

[ He doesn't object, mostly because it feels like a losing argument when his chest's biggest fan, apparently, is so infatuated with it. ]

... Did you? When did you take back up portraits?

I can draw all sorts of things... and maybe lately, maybe I've been feeling inspired.

[rudementary]

[ There's a softness in his tone then; funny, how nice it is to see a spark of brightness in Kaveh like this. ]

Good.

I have you to thank for that, Alhaitham.

[rudementary]

... You don't need to thank me.

…you may not think so, but I do. [ squeezes him in a hug. ] Please just accept my gratitude.

Show me your sketch and I'll consider it.

I will. I think you’ll like some of what I have already.

I'm not that vain.

[ They're not all sketches of him, are they... ]

...not all. [ just most. ] I can draw myself if it'll make you feel better.
