[ kaveh decided to set up the paint & pour on the shores of prism lake, because a beautiful landscape seemed like something that artists of all skill level could enjoy creating. not to mention, it's also something that probably wouldn't suffer too much if/when guests inevitably started getting tispy. ]

[ there are three canopy tents framing the lake and, unsurprisingly, the first of which has all manner of art supplies: canvases, easels, and paints. the second has an assortment of delicious snacks made by shigeru and the third, final, and likely most anticipated has the wine. there are at least a dozen bottles, each labeled with the segment and shop it came from, because kaveh absolutely went around with the intention of helping them promote their business. ]

( ooc; feel free to assume that your character received an invitation from either kaveh or shigeru. it IS open to the public though, so if your character is strolling by and so much as makes eye contact with either of them, then they'll likely get dragged into the fun. anyway! bring your own top level~! )

[ She blushes just a bit, since this is her one point of embarrassment. ]

I do not. { unlike lumine who had the luxury of travel between continents, he's been chained to inazuma. figuratively, and literally until fairly lately. the country had been closed. }

Ah, but isn't the enjoyment of cooking to trial new things?

{ he says this, but his concoctions are monstrosities in their own right. }

Oh. He's a bard from Mondstadt. [ And certainly not Barbatos, not even slightly! ] I'm planning to travel there with him once we're allowed. [ After a brief stopover in Red Son's world to rescue his parents ]

I don't really enjoy cooking, per se. Maybe if I had any idea what I was doing. Mostly I only bother because everyone insists I should learn, despite that it's fairly pointless.

I see. { mondstadt, at least, he knows of a little bit. though it's mostly from thoma's memories than anything else. things he's been told. }

If you have someone to cook for you, does it really matter?

That's my point. I wouldn't mind learning, and I've said that, but I don't have enough time. [ The way she says that, she doesn't mean the way she spends her hours in the day, exactly. She literally is on a clock. ]

Personally, I think they like seeing me a bit flustered. My lack of cooking skills is about the only thing that does it, next to my appetite.

Even here? { his voice is a little more softly spoken as he asks that. he can pick up on things between the lines, she doesn't need to say it directly.

Do you still eat the same food, actually? Or is that too rude to ask outright?

It would be rather difficult to taste test yourself, is why I ask.

Even here. My species hibernates for decades at a time, something like thirty or fifty years, and we wake with total amnesia, even down to language. I only have a handful of months before mine, which isn't enough time to learn to cook if I wanted to. That sort of thing takes years.

[ She doesn't share this with just anyone, but Lumine's friends can know. ]

I do eat human food as well. It doesn't do much nutritionally, but it tastes good.

{ it's hard to relate to, as humans they only have decades of life to live rather than centuries. }

Perhaps if you wish to be an expert, but one or two meals shouldn't be a problem.

{ he has no need to use that information against her, so it's merely tucked away. perhaps may be forgotten as he drowns himself with work and other problems of this world. he can only remember so much, and a small tidbit like that isn't much in the grand scheme of things. no offence to her, but he considers himself needing to remember other more pressing matters. }

Though I suppose at least being able to taste will make it more helpful. Ask Lumine for a simple recipe to get started, if anything I'm sure she'll be glad to spend the time with you.

With having to short a time, I'd rather spend it doing what I do enjoy and am not self-conscious about. Especially seeing as I'll forget all the knowledge. [ Although... she might be changing her tune here, depending on circumstances that have nothing to do with this conversation. ]

I can appreciate the encouragement, however. [ She flashes a smile, no hard feelings but she's never going to take that well-meaning and probably sound advice ]

{ he'll follow her lead with that in that case, no need to linger on it. he wasn't exactly saying it for her sake, as much as it may be appreciated she's being honest with him.

[ Saya would give a lot of things, including her immortal life for Lumine (by some definitions, maybe she already has). But she wouldn't learn to cook for her, so figure that one out. ]

Among other things. In addition to sparring, I only recently started loving music again, so I have plenty of time to make up there.

Mostly, spending time with the people I love. Even if it's doing nothing at all.

That sounds nice.

{ she may notice he doesn't sound as particularly enthused about the idea of doing nothing at all. he says the words, but that lack feeling as perhaps his earlier words had.

doing nothing seems like a waste of time, especially if there's so little left. }

I suppose it's doing nothing that you find distasteful, because I can't imagine it's the spending time with people I love.

Indeed. I'm still getting used to the idea of having time to waste.

It's a little funny. To me, working is wasted time. Not because I don't see the value in it, literally and for one's character, but I have so little time left. I'd rather stare into space with someone I care about by my side.

So it's a very good thing not everyone is of the same mind, or nothing would ever get done anywhere. [ This isn't her advocating laziness, just. Perspective is everything, and hers is pretty unique. ]

I suppose that would depend on the work.

{ and what you were working for. for him, he'd use any time he had left if there wasn't much, just to ensure those he cared about would have safety when he was gone.

in the grand scheme of things, he's just a normal man. he can't change the fate of the world, but he can dabble here or there to help things run more smoothly for those who likely need it. }

[ It probably matters there that she feels responsible for inflicting something emotionally devastating on the people around her, albeit not by choice. She's not a normal person and she did change the fate of her world by refusing to stop fighting for what she knew had to be done, but it broke everyone around her in the process. ]

Everything depends. We all have our ways of taking care of people, don't we?

I can't deny that.

{ after all, the things he's done for his sister's protection and happiness haven't always been pleasant. but he would do anything for her. perhaps that's something they can agree on. }
