WHO: Kaveh, Shigeru, & YOU.
WHAT: Paint & Pour.
WHEN: April 2nd.
WHERE: Spring Segment, Prism Lake
WARNINGS: Drunk Painting.


[ kaveh decided to set up the paint & pour on the shores of prism lake, because a beautiful landscape seemed like something that artists of all skill level could enjoy creating. not to mention, it's also something that probably wouldn't suffer too much if/when guests inevitably started getting tispy. ]

[ there are three canopy tents framing the lake and, unsurprisingly, the first of which has all manner of art supplies: canvases, easels, and paints. the second has an assortment of delicious snacks made by shigeru and the third, final, and likely most anticipated has the wine. there are at least a dozen bottles, each labeled with the segment and shop it came from, because kaveh absolutely went around with the intention of helping them promote their business. ]

[ it's not a complete lie!
everybody wins!! ]


( ooc; feel free to assume that your character received an invitation from either kaveh or shigeru. it IS open to the public though, so if your character is strolling by and so much as makes eye contact with either of them, then they'll likely get dragged into the fun. anyway! bring your own top level~! )

It was good weather for reading outside.

[ It's Alhaitham for 'I enjoyed it' which he did in the end. People had been respectful enough to leave him alone for the most part, and he'd been able to keep an eye on Kaveh. If Kaveh had enjoyed himself as well, then the day... it wasn't so bad. ]

Need me to carry anything back?

[ He's being extra nice, all things considered, but Kaveh better not get too used to it. ]

[ kaveh smiles, relieved. he had a good time too, and it had been just what he needed to take his mind off everything. ]

I guess that’s going to make it easier to convince you to come to the next one then, mm? [ he’s only teasing… maybe. ]

Yeah, actually… me. [ he doesn’t actually expect alhaitham to carry him back. ]

[rudementary]

Alright.

Just this once.

[ And he's moving closer, looking as if he's about to shift into a very familiar potato-sack-throwing position... ]

[ Except he doesn't. He hooks his arm under Kaveh's thighs and lifts him easily, letting Kaveh's chest press into his shoulder. It's ridiculous looking, undoubtedly, since Kaveh isn't that much shorter than him, and Kaveh better wrap either his arms or legs around him or else he's going to lose all stability, but at least it's not a potato sack carry. ]

[ kaveh blinks, taking a step back as he raises his arms. ] It was a joke, Alhaitham, you don’t have t- [ he definitely thinks he’s going to get thrown over his shoulder like he’s no more than a sack of potatoes, but… that’s not the case. his cheeks color as he’s pressed into him, his arms rising to circle his neck to hold on. ]

[ kaveh hides his face against his shoulder for a few moments, the color in his cheeks mostly returning to normal. ] Now you’re spoiling me. [ a light tease as he quickly dots a kiss on his cheek. ]

[rudementary]

I am.

[ It's a soft agreement, a tease of his own as he adjusts his hands to shift the man's weight more comfortably in his arms. ]

I suggest you not get used to it.

[ squeezes! ] I know, but for now I'm going to enjoy it for all it's worth. [ gives his neck a kiss, ] ...you're my best friend, you know that, right?

[rudementary]

[ Without any more prompting he starts for their apartment, ignoring whatever looks they might draw with their odd embrace. Certainly nothing new, considering how often he's carried Kaveh in similar scenarios in the past. ]

[ His tone has a hint of amusement in it, as if he can't quite believe this to be something Kaveh would say out loud, much less to him. ]

Am I now?

[noarchitact]

...mmmmm. [ he hums, bringing a hand to alhaitham's chest and giving it a slap, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. ] Yeah. [ he grabs at his jacket, tangling his fingers in the material as he tries to sift through the drunken fluff in his head. ] I can rely on you, to be there, always... the one thing that's a constant is, it's you... [ change is inevitable, but that doesn't mean he has to like it. ] No one is more important to me than... than you.

[rudementary]

[ That light slap bounces harmlessly off his chest, which rumbles slightly as Alhaitham breathes out a low chuckle from the action. ]

It seems my preference for a mundane lifestyle has benefited us both in the end.

... But you are a surprising constant as well. You always seem to find your way back into my life.

[noarchitact]

...yeah, it's funny, right... [ how they're completely opposites and yet. ] No one knows me like you. [ and he's not sure he wants anybody else to know him that intimately. ] I do, huh? I guess I just can't get enough of you. [ a muffled laugh as he leans back to look at alhaitham. he brings a hand to his face, cupping it awkwardly. ] I know you don't really care what people think, but... can I tell you a secret? [ he gently bonks his head on his chest again. ] I think you're really great.

[rudementary]

[ With Kaveh's head tucked away, he doesn't see the flicker of a smile that appears on Alhaitham's mouth. It's well gone when he turns his head to press a faint kiss against the man's hand, softly affectionate in spite of his less than affectionate words that follow. ]

I think you're drunk.

[ kaveh also smiles, but it's more obvious because of the small fit of laughter that follows. ] I am so drunk. I bet you'll be happy to hear I didn't spend a dime on all that wine. It was donated. I still kept my promise, Alhaitham, so I expect my reward~

[rudementary]

Oh, so you've gotten better at earning yourself free drinks?

[ There's a warm playfulness in his tone rather than his usual cold bite. ]

Not quite the outcome I expected from that bet of ours.

mHm! [ seems super proud of himself, but the real question is... ] Are you proud of me? I'm making sure to save as much money as possible, but ah~ that reminds me. A nice orange man bought me some stuff for the house. I wanted to show you. It might have actually gotten delivered and I just... forgot.

[rudementary]

[ Orange man?? ]

[ He doesn't comment on that... for now, anyway. There are certainly comments to be made about giving your address to strangers though. ]

You'll be quite proud of yourself when you're able to afford whatever furniture you like to decorate.

[ tartaglia's a friend. ]

I can't wait, but... we'll shop together. I may even let you pick out some ugly sculpture [ ... ] for the bathroom. [ he chuckles, having amused himself. ]

[ Kaveh, you'd call a man you've met for two minutes in a seedy bar a friend. ]

That's quite the honor.

[ …only if he got him a drink. ]

[ he buries his face back in alhaitham's chest. ] It’ll be fun though. Making a space for ourselves… [ a home. ]

[rudementary]

[ His point stands. ]

Do you have many ideas you'd like to include?

[noarchitact]

...mm, I do. [ smirks, moving his head over his shoulder, so he can whisper. ] A single, shared bedroom.

[rudementary]

With your sleeping habits?

[ Is he teasing or is he being serious. ]

[noarchitact]

[ he slaps a hand against his chest again. ] Don't say that like you're the king of the bedroom. [ he falls silent for a few moments before finally speaking up again, but this time his tone is no more than a whisper. ] I think it'll help me fall asleep easier... [ since he usually spends an obnoxious amount of time tossing and turning. ]

[rudementary]

[ Once again, the hand bounces off harmlessly. But at that soft whispers, Alhaitham gives a small nod of his head, glancing ahead with his gaze fixed on their apartment building so Kaveh can have that moment of vulnerability without Alhaitham's eyes on him. ]

We can try it for a while.

[ They had little choice in it, considering the state of Kaveh's room. ]

You might find you don't like sharing a bed with me after all.

[noarchitact]

…maybe. Is there even going to be any room for me. [ this time he doesn’t just give his chest a playful slap. no. this time he gropes him. ] I bet your tits take up half the bed all on their own. [ … ] They probably make good pillows… [ don’t mind him trying to awkwardly mash his face into them. ]

[rudementary]

[ There isn't much he can do that doesn't involve dropping the man in his arms, so he settles for giving him a warning pinch on the rear for taking advantage of their position. ]

Are you trying to make a case for sleeping on top of me now?

We can invest in a bigger bed if this works out.
