WHO: Kaveh, Shigeru, & YOU.
WHAT: Paint & Pour.

WHERE: Spring Segment, Prism Lake
WARNINGS: Drunk Painting.


[ kaveh decided to set up the paint & pour on the shores of prism lake, because a beautiful landscape seemed like something that artists of all skill level could enjoy creating. not to mention, it's also something that probably wouldn't suffer too much if/when guests inevitably started getting tispy. ]

[ there are three canopy tents framing the lake and, unsurprisingly, the first of which has all manner of art supplies: canvases, easels, and paints. the second has an assortment of delicious snacks made by shigeru and the third, final, and likely most anticipated has the wine. there are at least a dozen bottles, each labeled with the segment and shop it came from, because kaveh absolutely went around with the intention of helping them promote their business. ]

[ it's not a complete lie!
everybody wins!! ]


( ooc; feel free to assume that your character received an invitation from either kaveh or shigeru. it IS open to the public though, so if your character is strolling by and so much as makes eye contact with either of them, then they'll likely get dragged into the fun. anyway! bring your own top level~! )

[ Tsumugi is among those who'd just been walking by and ended up getting roped into things. Not that he's complaining! It was nice of them to invite him! This just isn't something he'd normally do on his own... he's an artist, sure, but not this kind of artist.

But even if he were the type to turn down such a kind invitation, the allure of wine and a nice day outside admiring some flower(ing tree)s seems too pleasant to pass up. He steps away from his painting, which is very much still a work in progress, for a moment to talk to whoever's set up nearby. ] How's yours coming along?

[ Ayaka is still in the middle of colouring her sketch, but it's coming along quite nicely. Pink, orange, purple, blues— all blending quite nicely! It looks like she's painted a sky during the sunset, with a blonde boy with a braid standing in the mountainside. ]

I have not painted in some time. I am enjoying this activity, however. I think I am doing rather well!

I think so, too! [ He's no artist, but he's certainly picked up an appreciation for it. ] The colors you chose for the sky are really nice.

[ And he hopes she doesn't mind him asking- ] Is that someone you know?

Thank you. It is how most sunsets look, where I am from.

[ And they are beautiful! The sky when the sun rises is equally so, but she likes the colours of sunset more. ]

Yes- it is a dear friend from home. It has been some time since we last met.

[ Noticing his own painting, she wonders- ]

Sakura trees?

Hmm... I don't know. It's fun?

[ Nenonen has no concept fo what does or doesn't look good when it comes to most things. Clothes, food presentation, good looks...art... So really, even though they're here? Mostly Nen's just having fun putting paint onto their fingers, and then spread it around the page in random style, shape, and order. It's as sensory as it is technical, and Nenonen looks up from their easel, upon where there is a painting that is a chaotic mixture of something kind of abstract with colours everywhere, and a vaguely human-shaped blob (it's Alhaitham, oops). ]

I like the blue on yours. It looks like water.

[ If Kazunari were here, he might have something eloquent to say about how art's an expression of yourself, and what's most important is getting something on the page that feels right and good. Or maybe he'd go off with some slang he still has no nope of understanding.

Tsumugi doesn't feel he can speak to the philosophies behind art or aesthetics, but he can at least say ] I'm glad you're having fun! I find painting to be quite relaxing.

[ He looks back to his own canvas with a small laugh. ] And I'm relieved that you can tell it's water. It's actually the lake! [ See? The pink blobs are trees! ]

The lake...?

[ Nen has yet to visit the lake! But they know what that is now, and look keen to hear more as they examine his painting again. ]

I've never been to a lake. I heard they can be so large they look like "oceans." Have you ever seen one?

Oh, it's not.

[ Easy and unashamed. He's helping himself to a serving of the dessert, fruits and cream from the looks of it. Still in this outfit, though he's slung the coat over an arm by now. ]

[ are you saying the cream's not cream ]

Fair enough! [ He won't knock a guy for not painting, despite it being a painting event. ] Are you still enjoying yourself?

[ Look he's not making any assumptions about what other substances Shigeru might be dipping fruit in, the important thing is it tastes good ]

So far so good. S'nice weather for it, and everyone else seems to be having a good time. [ He plucks a strawberry out of the cream and gives it a thoughtful lick, then adds: ] Good energy to be around.
