WARNINGS: Drunk Painting.


[ kaveh decided to set up the paint & pour on the shores of prism lake, because a beautiful landscape seemed like something that artists of all skill level could enjoy creating. not to mention, it's also something that probably wouldn't suffer too much if/when guests inevitably started getting tispy. ]

[ there are three canopy tents framing the lake and, unsurprisingly, the first of which has all manner of art supplies: canvases, easels, and paints. the second has an assortment of delicious snacks made by shigeru and the third, final, and likely most anticipated has the wine. there are at least a dozen bottles, each labeled with the segment and shop it came from, because kaveh absolutely went around with the intention of helping them promote their business. ]

everybody wins!! ]


( ooc; feel free to assume that your character received an invitation from either kaveh or shigeru. it IS open to the public though, so if your character is strolling by and so much as makes eye contact with either of them, then they'll likely get dragged into the fun. anyway! bring your own top level~! )

[ That admission is progress, he'll take it. His grip on the shawl loosens to let Kaveh pull back if he'd like. ]

Or perhaps to a more amusing point, tell them why they can't look.

[ he keeps close to him. ] If it doesn't bother you, then I'm not going to ask you to, what, stop? All you're doing is sitting here. [ his face colors as he tells him his 'other' option. ] ...I could, yeah.

[ He's admittedly amused at the way Kaveh flushes, what a sight he always makes like this. And now, Alhaitham feels perfectly comfortable with raising his hand to let his bare fingers brush again Kaveh's cheek, intent on flustering him more. ]

Or were you planning to keep us a secret?

[noarchitact]

[ the color of his cheeks darken at the gesture, and the follow-up question has him turning his head hide in his palm. ] … [ he hadn’t thought about it, but things are different here, and he’s not ashamed of his situation, since it’s quite the opposite at the moment. he’ll turn things around back home too, he just needs time… ]

[ as for the question, ] No. I’d rather not. [ he kisses the inside of his palm and then peels his hand away, so he can lean up and give alhaitham a kiss too. ]

[ He's smug, of course he is, when he meets Kaveh in that light kiss and listen there might be a shawl over them right now but he's pretty sure everyone here already has an idea what's going on. ]

[ good, then they’ll know that they’re a couple, and that the chest is off limits. ] You should let me draw you later.

[rudementary]

[ He lowers the shawl around them, settling it back onto Kaveh's shoulders as he sits back. ]

You don't want to now?

I meant in a way that’s for my eyes only.

[rudementary]

So it's not going to be just drawing.

[ He sees that look in Kaveh's eyes. ]

Probably not, no, but it all depends if you can be good. [ or more accurately if he can be good. ]

[ His brow simply raises in response. He is never the problem here, Kaveh. ]

We'll see who stays the good one between us.

[ no need to mention that. ]

[ kaveh fixes his shawl, grinning mischievously. be afraid. ] Yes we will.

Enjoy yourself then. I'll be waiting.

I will. [ ...a little hesitance, but then one last kiss before he returns to the event. later, he comes back more tipsy than he had been earlier, an empty glass in hand. ] 'haitham~

[ Ah, there is the Kaveh he expected to see here. ]

Kaveh. Looks like you took my words to heart.

[ kaveh tries to pass his glass on to alhaitham. ] I didn't want to disappoint. [ he laughs. ] Did you talk to anybody? Make some new friends?

[rudementary]

[ He will absolutely take that glass away from him, no more potentially dangerous objects for you. ]

A few. You've made quite the variety in friends here.

Good~! that makes me happy, but I think that’s enough for today, don’t you think, …let’s go home and we can do something you like. [ pause for effect. ] Me~.

[rudementary]

[ Setting the glass aside, he gets up, hands moving to cup Kaveh's face... ]

You should be resting.

[noarchitact]

[ kaveh leans into the touch, closing his eyes. ] I don’t need to rest. It’s still early. [ but he may be tired from setting everything up, and all the wine certainly hasn’t helped. ]

[rudementary]

[ Kaveh you literally almost died yesterday, he doesn't care how many chickens you shoved into your face to heal from that- ]

[ His thumb rubs lightly against Kaveh's cheek, breathing out a soft huff of his own. ]

You're not tired at all?

… [ kaveh brings a hand to alhaitham’s, the soft touch melting the facade he’s currently got on. no one else needs to know about that, because he still hasn’t fully recovered. he’s beyond exhausted and most definitely trying to drink himself out of remember the entire ordeal. ] …that’s why we’re going home, so you can read and I can rest.

[ He hadn't been aware he'd been carrying tension in his shoulders, but he is very sharply aware of it when it floods out of his body at Kaveh's words. It'd been strange, watching him flit about with such endless energy; Alhaitham's eyes had been on him almost any time they weren't down on his book, ready to move if necessary, but Kaveh hadn't shown a single sign of wear. ]

[ Impressive in the most annoying way to Alhaitham. ]

[ He presses a kiss against Kaveh's temple before letting him go. ]

Alright. Let's go.

…thank you for coming. I know you may not have wanted to spend your afternoon here, but… [ he catches his hand, trying to keep him from getting too far. ] I needed you. [ even if it just had been for support, since knowing alhaitham had his back made it easier to fall into a more normal routine. ] I can’t wait to sit down. [ he laughs, his weariness seeping into it. ]

It was good weather for reading outside.

[ It's Alhaitham for 'I enjoyed it' which he did in the end. People had been respectful enough to leave him alone for the most part, and he'd been able to keep an eye on Kaveh. If Kaveh had enjoyed himself as well, then the day... it wasn't so bad. ]

Need me to carry anything back?

[ He's being extra nice, all things considered, but Kaveh better not get too used to it. ]
