WHO: Kaveh, Shigeru, & YOU.
WHAT: Paint & Pour.
WHEN: April 2nd.
WHERE: Spring Segment, Prism Lake
WARNINGS: Drunk Painting.


[ kaveh decided to set up the paint & pour on the shores of prism lake, because a beautiful landscape seemed like something that artists of all skill level could enjoy creating. not to mention, it's also something that probably wouldn't suffer too much if/when guests inevitably started getting tispy. ]

[ there are three canopy tents framing the lake and, unsurprisingly, the first of which has all manner of art supplies: canvases, easels, and paints. the second has an assortment of delicious snacks made by shigeru and the third, final, and likely most anticipated has the wine. there are at least a dozen bottles, each labeled with the segment and shop it came from, because kaveh absolutely went around with the intention of helping them promote their business. ]

[ it's not a complete lie!
everybody wins!! ]


( ooc; feel free to assume that your character received an invitation from either kaveh or shigeru. it IS open to the public though, so if your character is strolling by and so much as makes eye contact with either of them, then they'll likely get dragged into the fun. anyway! bring your own top level~! )

[ The silents are communicating. ]

[ He holds Squall's gaze for a moment before letting his eyes slowly drift over to Kaveh, then back to Squall with a raised brow. ]

[ He drag you here too? is the question behind his actions. ]

[Shh, they know how this goes. Which is weirdly comfortable for Squall.

He gives another look and a slight nod. But he looks slightly annoyed as if to say,

Somehow, Kaveh dragged me here. Annoying.

But he didn't say no, either. Huh.]

[ The look of amusement he gives is moreso at the situation both men have found themselves in rather than specifically at the other man. Alhaitham at least had a good few years worth of experience with Kaveh's... Kaveh-ness, and how difficult it could be for most to turn the man down. He certainly had a strong level of charisma. ]

[ Experience had taught him how to deal with being dragged to places by Kaveh, thus the book and the claimed seat. In addition, it really was quite a nice day out, so if he turned up the music on his headphones just enough he could easily drown out the noise around him. ]

[ Hopefully Squall could learn as well. ]

[ Given that he'd already been caught up in things, Alhaitham simply held up a single finger before motioning with it. ]

[ Give it an hour and you can slip away is the silent message attached to it. ]

[There was something about Kaveh that made Squall feel bad for being an ass in the first place. It was probably the tears- but also Kaveh really is genuinely a nice persona and despite Squall's attitude he doesn't want to be a total asshole.

He does take note that this guy seems to be taking everything in stride. Like he's a master at dealing with Kaveh. Maybe he should get a set of headphones for himself... Hm.

Squall glances away at the lake as if judging the placement of the sun. So, about an hour and Kaveh will be happy with that? He gives a small nod to indicate that's when he'll take off.

But then eventually he'll actually use his words and ask,] I'm guessing Kaveh and you are from the same world.

[ There's something to be said about how much easier Kaveh was to deal with when you could control his volume. Headphones were simply a must at this point for individuals like themselves. ]

[ It's only a mild surprise that Squall decides to use his words, made mild only because there was only so much two people could convey through pointed looks and nods. ]

We are. We attended the same school.

[ And... a bunch of other things between their starting days in the Akademiya and now, but that complication is something Kaveh could work out in explaining to someone else. ]

[That's fine, Squall doesn't need the long version anyway. He's only mildly curious about how the two of them got here. Squall isn't usually too concerned about other people or where they're from but it wouldn't kill Squall to ask a question or two.]

Must be lucky.

[To have people from his own world- his former classmate at that. There might be a small part of Squall that's growing bitter that he's alone and without the people he cares about. But he'll keep that to himself.]

Not at all. We disagreed at numerous points during our time at the Akademiya and we continue to have them even now.

[ The detail that it is affectionate (???) squabbling is left out. Surely it's not a necessary one in this conversation. ]

[ He's only sat here the entire time, that much is true. But he has been keeping an eye on Kaveh the entire time. ]

Right.

[Sure, Jan. Sitting here and watching things, and all. But Squall doesn't question it.]

Still, seems like Kaveh's made this thing a success.

He has a natural sociability and charisma to him that allows him to succeed in many social scenarios. It's a setting he does seem to thrive in, and often seeks out for himself.

[ Said almost like he's narrating an animal documentary. ]

[Squall stares. That almost sounded nerdy.]
