WHO: Kaveh, Shigeru, & YOU.
WHAT: Paint & Pour.

WHERE: Spring Segment, Prism Lake
WARNINGS: Drunk Painting.


[ kaveh decided to set up the paint & pour on the shores of prism lake, because a beautiful landscape seemed like something that artists of all skill level could enjoy creating. not to mention, it's also something that probably wouldn't suffer too much if/when guests inevitably started getting tispy. ]

[ there are three canopy tents framing the lake and, unsurprisingly, the first of which has all manner of art supplies: canvases, easels, and paints. the second has an assortment of delicious snacks made by shigeru and the third, final, and likely most anticipated has the wine. there are at least a dozen bottles, each labeled with the segment and shop it came from, because kaveh absolutely went around with the intention of helping them promote their business. ]

[ it's not a complete lie!
everybody wins!! ]


( ooc; feel free to assume that your character received an invitation from either kaveh or shigeru. it IS open to the public though, so if your character is strolling by and so much as makes eye contact with either of them, then they'll likely get dragged into the fun. anyway! bring your own top level~! )

[His stoic expression maybe breaks for a fraction of a second when he sees Kaveh approach.]

... Yeah. You set all of this up?

[At least he tries. Being lead out in the open does have him frowning again, though.]

Even the food looks overly fancy.

I did, with Shigeru's help. [ he pivots, pointing him out. ] Heh, well, I'm afraid I can't take credit for the food, but I figured having something to snack on would be nice for all of my guests. I just meant for it to be a fun and relaxing afternoon... it's gorgeous here, don't you think?

[shear_trigger]

[Squall glances the man's way and nods.]

I'm not a painter but I'm sure people will enjoy trying to paint the atmosphere or whatever.

[ kaveh chuckles. ] I should hope so seeing as that is the point. I know it's not for everybody though... so, if nothing else, perhaps you'll find somebody to talk to. [ or stare at. however you antisocial's communicate. ]

Have you tried some of the snacks?

Maybe.

[Sometimes an entire conversation can be done in stares, don't worry about it.

But this is obviously something that means a lot to Kaveh so he'll keep his tongue in check this time.]

I haven't tried anything yet. What do you recommend...?

[ kaveh motions for him to join him at the table. he picks up a plate and starts piling it high with all sorts of snacks. ] All that standing around must have made you hungry, so try this... and this, oh, and a little bit of this. [ once he's sufficiently stacked the plate he passes it over to squal. ]

[shear_trigger]

[.......]

This is way too much food. Kaveh.

[He looks a little put out with his giant plate of food.]

You really expect me to eat this much?

It's not that much. Eat what you like, and I'll finish the rest. [ he grabs him by the arm and leads him away from the tables, over to where he's set up his own canvas. ] It's nice and quiet over here... and the view's great. [ kaveh smiles, gazing out onto the lake. ] I'm surprised you came.

[shear_trigger]

[He lets out a short sigh before he's dragged off. He's simply going...]

I figured I should make an appearance before anyone complained that I didn't.

[No one would probably complain he just doesn't want to say the real reason. He glances over the lake and then to the canvas.]

I'm not really into artsy stuff. But you must be decent at it.

[noarchitact]

[ kaveh smiles, taking a snack off squall's plate to munch on. ] I appreciate you coming... [ since he didn't think squall would show up, but, then again, he also didn't think alhaitham would come. ] Even if you don't intend to stick around for long, it means a lot to me. [ a light-hearted laugh. ] I'm not half bad. I had tried starting a painting of my own here, but I'm a little too busy to finish, so I'm making some small sketches in between mingling. [ he'll show him the book, which has sketches of the lake, the trees, and various people. ]

[shear_trigger]

[And Squall also finally takes a snack and starts to munch on it...]

Yeah... Don't mention it.

[He just actually wants to make it up to Kaveh for being a bit of an ass. And when he sees the sketches he's actually impressed.]

You've got an eye for this stuff. Those look good. You should finish them and paint what you've got.

[ kaveh smiles as he gazes fondly at his own artwork. ] I'm an architect, so while portraits aren't my forte I did draw a lot of people back in the Akademiya. I'm enjoying it though, especially since I found some inspiration.

[shear_trigger]

Like that guy?

[He tilts his head in the direction of Alhaitham.]

He's ... a model here, isn't he?

No! the lake is the model!

[shear_trigger]

[He really wasn't that put off by it! Squall was only making an observation! But he might smirk slightly.]

Yeah, good for him. And you.

W- What do you mean and me?

[shear_trigger]

[Hmmm. What does he mean!!!]

Well, he said you two were classmates way back. I thought you two probably get along pretty well.

He said that?

[ ... ]

What else did he say?

Not much else. Just that you two argue.

[But the guy seemed pretty fine with that?]
