WHO: Kaveh, Shigeru, & YOU.

WARNINGS: Drunk Painting.


[ kaveh decided to set up the paint & pour on the shores of prism lake, because a beautiful landscape seemed like something that artists of all skill level could enjoy creating. not to mention, it's also something that probably wouldn't suffer too much if/when guests inevitably started getting tispy. ]

[ there are three canopy tents framing the lake and, unsurprisingly, the first of which has all manner of art supplies: canvases, easels, and paints. the second has an assortment of delicious snacks made by shigeru and the third, final, and likely most anticipated has the wine. there are at least a dozen bottles, each labeled with the segment and shop it came from, because kaveh absolutely went around with the intention of helping them promote their business. ]

[ it's not a complete lie!
everybody wins!! ]


( ooc; feel free to assume that your character received an invitation from either kaveh or shigeru. it IS open to the public though, so if your character is strolling by and so much as makes eye contact with either of them, then they'll likely get dragged into the fun. anyway! bring your own top level~! )

[ Ayaka may have only met Kaveh in this world, but she's developed a soft spot for him due to his dedication to the arts. It also helps for the Kamisato Clan to be connected to such a big name. Ayaka has no doubt that they could help each other out in the future.

So of course she'll support Kaveh in this endeavour. Wine isn't something Ayaka is used to drinking, let alone alcohol in general, but she wants to participate! And as such, she will do her best. And that means educating herself on the different kinds of wines this world has to offer. Some smooth, some dry, some sweet, some bitter... It's all a mix of flavours by the time Ayaka finishes her painting of a boy that may or may not be familiar to some. And even though she says she's not talented? What she's done is more than what a beginner would be able to show. Ayaka definitely knows how to paint— she was taught how to do so at a young age, after all. She's just. Modest. And shy. ]

Traveler, what could you be looking at?

[ AND TIPSY, apparently... she's happily talking to her painting. ]

We- We are all over here!

[ ... yeah she's waving at the painting now, too ]

( Now there's a face Amber would recognise anywhere! She gasps in surprise at the sight of the painted Traveller, and also from how talented Ayaka is. Girl?? That talent?!? )

Oh wow! It's the Traveller! You painted this?! ( No, Amber, the paint just leapt onto Ayaka's canvas and did that by itself-- ) It's sooooooooo incredible! I can't believe it! That looks just like him! Wow ...

( She bends over to admire it closer. Wow!! Really good. SO GOOD. )

So, uh, are you another person who remembers the Traveller as a blonde guy? Seems there's been a bit of a mix-up and I've been curious about who knows who!

O- Oh! Hello!

[ THERE'S SOMEONE LOOKING AT HER!!!! O_O Thanks to the alcohol, Ayaka doesn't feel the need to be shy. Good first meeting! ]

It has been some time since I last saw the Traveler, but... he has made a big impact in my life.

[ 🥹 she couldn't stop talking about him at home, Amber. He is something else, you see... And she hopes his travels will be over soon so he can visit Inazuma more often. ]

I have never met Lumine until I started traveling between worlds, myself, but she is just as important to me as Aether is.

( O__O PERCEIVES THE AYAYA )

Wooooow! You've travelled worlds?! Oh my gosh! That's so cool! ( CAN THIS LADY GET ANY COOLER!! Amazing artist and friend of the Traveller ... Amber sits herself down beside her! )

Forgive me for being so forward, I know we've only just met, but I think you're great! You're an amazing painter, you're close to Aether, and you've been travelling! Wow!

( RIGHT. Where are her manners! (Nonexistent) )

I-I'm Amber! ( She offers her hand to shake. Just Mond Things. ) I'm from Mondstadt and I'm the Outrider for the Knights of Favonius! What's your name?

[ Oh, this girl has so much energy. Ayaka can't possibly match it, even if she's loopy. But she can be just as happy. ]

That is a lot of nice words! [ KAHDKAD WHAT ] Hehe, thank you for saying so, though.

My name is Kamisato Ayaka. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Amber.

[ She's getting to know so many knights now! ]

I'm also acquainted with Ca— [ Ah... wait, ] Albedo, and I met Mister Kaeya here, too.

[ kaveh approaches from behind, setting a hand on her shoulder to steady her. ] And I thought you didn't want to show off, Miss Kamisato, yet.. this is beautiful. [ he's noticed that she's a little tipsy, so he might be moving her glass of wine just a little bit further away. ]

Perhaps you're just a little too modest. [ but he smiles all the same, because maybe she'll realize that she's more than worthy of a spotlight of her own. ] Were you and the Traveler close?

Ah, Mister Kaveh! Do you like it? It has been some time since I last painted.

[ She isn't as shy as she was in their last meeting... Are you sure you wanna take that wine glass away? ]

I would not say we are close... [ ... they did bang a couple of times in Nippon but she sure as hell won't tell him that. :') ] But he is someone I look up to a lot.

O- Oh— please don't tell my brother that. [ 😱 There is a brief second where she shows some worry. ] I look up to Ayato the most, still!

I do, and are you sure? I would have never guessed. [ and he's setting it aside for now because she needs a refill. ayato isn't looking, right? ] I'm now wondering if we should start some kind of art exhibit. [ he hums, thoughtful, sipping his own glass of wine. ] And no? [ he quirks a brow. ] ...you did just paint him. [ not to mention the cute waving she did. ]

[ kaveh can't help but to smirk. ] Tell me more about Ayato.

[ Put it in an exhibit and all. 😔 But she won't stop Kaveh if that is what he really wants. This is his activity, after all! ]

My brother? [ Uh oh... Even though she may be kinda drunk now, she still knows how to be careful. ] What would you like to know about him?

It'll all be anonymous. No one has to know you painted this. [ he moves to her other side, admiring the picture... or at least pretending that's where all his focus is at the moment. ] Nothing specific. I think it's exceptionally cute how much you admire him, and I thought you'd jump at the opportunity to praise him just a little more.

...Is that Aether in your painting?

[ ...Maybe she shouldn't have said anything, and she looks like she's regretting doing so by the moment, but sometimes her mouth runs away with her. ]

It's a really nice painting, in any case.

Ah, you know the Traveler too!

[ ^_^! Aether really has a lot of friends! That's great to know. ]

[ ..."Both of them, actually" seems like it would be a risky answer here. She knows not that much about Teyvat in the scheme of things, but it feels like what she does know she shouldn't share. ]

Mm, a little. In passing, I guess you could say.

You must be from Teyvat, then. I'm not from there myself, but I have good frie-- a good friend who is. [ Singular, now. Ugh worldhopping is hard. ]

I am from Teyvat, yes. [ But Teyvat is a big world... She wonders who this lady's friend could be? ] I am from the nation of Inazuma, governed by the Electro Archon.

Who is your friend? I hope it is not rude of me to ask.

[ Saya vaguely knows Inazuma. Venti likes their wine as she recalls. ]

His name is Venti, he's a bard from Mondstadt. [ "Governed" by the Absentee Archon Himself as she understands it. She doesn't spread the Barbatos thing around of course. ]

I've seen some images from there. Liyue too. Your world seems really lovely.

{ considering he'd been keeping an eye on her between paint strokes and idle conversation with others, he knows she's had a bit to drink by now, though probably wasn't fully aware of how giddy she's gotten from it until he approaches to see her painting.

with one hand he's reaching to pull that wine glass out of her way, but his eyes are drawn to the painting itself as ayaka speaks to it.




and then realises all this time they've both been talking about different people. he's smart enough to put two and two together, given the information he's collected, things people have said over time. }

Is that Lumine's brother?

{ he knows descriptions of him, of course, but it's very different to see a visual piece of him instead. }

Ayato~ I missed you.

[ Her brother!! She's so glad to see him!! Even if she knows he was just RIGHT THERE this whole time.

Her cheeks are so red from the wine... ]

It's Aether, yes. [ ... Wait a minute. ] Have you never met him before?

{ he was literally meters away this entire time, he doesn't mind her seeming so excited to see him again. it's endearing.


definitely no more wine for a bit though, she needs water.

his eyes scan her painting of him, voice going quieter when he responds this time. }

I have not. Why don't you tell me about him?

[ Somehow, she's taking this a little too normally. Just like any other news. ]

Ah, well- then... please imagine Lumine. She went to Inazuma with Paimon in hopes of meeting the Raiden Shogun, because she is looking for her brother.

She helped us during the Vision Hunt Decree, as well as in many other things. She is so amazing, isn't she?

[ Heh... just thinking about Lumine now is getting her all giggly. ]

I do not understand how it is possible, but Aether experienced the same things that Lumine did. He has met us all, as well. And he is looking for his sister.

[ Ah. Lumine can tell immediately what this must mean. She's never described to Ayaka the way her brother looks, not in such great detail that she'd be able to paint him with this kind of accuracy. Which means they must have met.

Which means... that she probably never met Lumine before.

To her credit, if not for this, Lumine might never have known. She was just as kind and open as she'd always known the Kamisato heiress to be. Was Ayaka afraid to say something? Maybe afraid of how she would react? She can't blame her. Not based on her own first reaction.

Perhaps, though, she can reassure Ayaka. She also misses her brother--and there's no reason for her to feel like she needs to hide this. It doesn't change the fact that Lumine still cares for her very deeply.

She steps closer from behind, still giving Ayaka a tiny bit of distance--and examines the painting once more. ]

He might be summoning up a constellation.

[ There is no reason to treat Lumine any differently. If the events she's gone through are so familiar to her that if they both told each other's story, it would be as if they lived it together, then what reason does Ayaka have to treat her differently?

To Ayaka, Lumine is just much of a dear friend and trusted ally as her brother is. They worked together to bring peace to Inazuma, she saved Thoma, brought her to a festival for the first time, and treated her like a person, and not some fancy noble lady with a position. There is nothing that could change how Ayaka sees Lumine, despite having never set foot in the same world outside of Ellipsa. ]

Hehe, I think so.

[ Ayaka cannot help but laugh a little at that. Aether had told her about what he and Lumine did, before they became separated. There are still a lot of things that are beyond her level of comprehension, and so much more that Aether didn't even know. But this— she at least knows this. Seen it, even. ]

Do you like it?

[ Because in all honesty... she wouldn't even know what to do with this. She just wanted to paint, not knowing where to even put it when she finished. ]

It's beautiful.

[ It's not just her technique, though, or even her choice of color pallet, although those do lend to the quality that makes it so nice. It's not a perfectly replicated portrait of him, but through the abstract shines the ethereal quality to him that pure realism would mute. ]

I can tell he must have really made an impression on you. You captured his essence well. You never mentioned you were so skilled.

I could never consider myself a professional, but I had been taught painting and other forms of art ever since I was a child.

[ It is why she can do things like this! It is expected from a lady like her. ]

Aether holds a very special place in my heart, just like you do, Lumine.
