[You know what’s great at shifting snow and ice? Lots and lots of fire, and that is something that Diluc can easily provide.

He’s fine with working in tandem with anyone else, be it with magic or if they have some other way of tackling the buildup, but he can also melt down a good amount on his own. It does leave things more than a bit slushy when he’s in the middle of it, before the snow is melted down to water entirely, so if you’re getting near to where he’s working perhaps watch your step…

While he can call out a warning, he’s not got eyes everywhere.]

[While some people do concentrate more on getting out any people who might have fallen into the pit, Diluc is one of those who concentrates on ensuring that the worst of the monsters that have been drawn inside do not find their way out again.

When these efforts draw another, worse creature into the fray, he is somehow not surprised.]

[Diluc braces his claymore against his shoulder, holding the full weight of the massive sword with one hand.]

[When it comes to coffee (and chocolate) you can be sure Diluc is here for more than just a payout. He’s interested in a couple of samples too, but that doesn’t mean he’s not going to put the work in.

It’s wet, which is not his favourite thing, but he isn’t bothering with an umbrella as he scans around for any signs of the bats. It isn’t as if they should be hard to spot, from what he’s heard.]

[Diluc makes no secret of the fact he is an avid horserider and eagerly takes the opportunity to put some of his skills to the test. He is not a showoff, by most metrics, but his horse does not seem to follow suit.

Astra soaks up the attention and seems aware of what the drone is, and after running her through a few of the challenges Diluc can be found off to the side giving her a gentle scolding for being so bold while she affectionately butts her nose against his shoulder and huffs at him because she knows he has a treat in his pocket...]
