It's probably lucky that Emeth lives with someone who's not really hard to find. Today, Wukong's actually hanging out in the den on the first floor. That way they're in a more even space rather than personal. Emeth being ready to meet Macaque is a big step for the kid, even one as unusual as her. He knows she's been gradually meeting and making friends on her own time, but he'd still been a bit reluctant to push.

After his talk with Macaque, he did realize he needed to at least check with her, and it had taken some additional time and making active efforts to not gush about his mate while telling her about him. But here they are.

He looks up as he hears her footsteps and can't resist a chuckle at the look on her face. "Still nervous about making a good impression?" he asks.
