he'll take aim and shoot at the lavadoom and duck out of the way as needed. at least after having to run and jump through the place he's got to a point where he doesn't need as much instruction either. at least until that final signal.
he doesn't need telling twice though, as soon as hijikata yells to jump him as he's stunned, he'll switch to the pulley to help them get up there along with a hard kick to the ground. maybe their weight is a bit different here, but the whole idea is to stomp down hard right? then he'll put his entire weight and force into it as they go back down.
hopefully without making hijikata faceplant this time. }
