Aymeric is, in fact, causing a bit of discomfort. Mostly from the moving around as he gets settled in, which Reiner feels every bit of. But once Aymeric is settled in the right position, any discomfort disappears.

You're all right, Reiner says. I think you're in the right spot, too. It's comfortable.

Maybe if Reiner were a smaller breed of horse, he would feel Aymeric's weight more acutely. As it is, he barely feels a thing.
