It’s fascinating to her, the way she was enveloped in it just seconds ago, and now the flesh that connected them is falling away bloodless, almost like the skin of a fruit easily peeling away. Her first concern is Frieda — and she’s very glad to see she’s alright — but now that they’re out of immediate danger, there’s a little seed of curiosity taking root in her mind. ]
