[Katsuki, as a reflex, sets off a palm sized explosion to try and blow any spines away from himself. He manages to get rid of most of them, but two fly past his explosion and stick him in the cheek and shoulder. He rips them out, but it's too late. Within seconds, Katsuki starts to feel weird.
He was so prepared to fight, and was so certain that he'd be fine against mental attacks. But when this euphoric, floating feeling washes over him he can't do anything to fight it. It just feels.. really nice. It feels as though nothing could ever go wrong. This warmth taking over him.
He's felt this before, or at least something similar. He remembers so clearly how it felt when his heart had been blown open. When he was on the brink of death, fucking around with the Grim Reaper. It felt similar, despite how much pain he should've been in. Instead he just felt warm, and at peace. Happy. Satisfied. Ready for death to take him.
This wasn't the same situation, though. And Katsuki is still aware of the danger around him. He gathers sweat in his palm, letting it heat up and glow because his body knows he needs to fight. But he's a little wobbly on his feet, with a soft smile on his face and he doesn't really look like he knows what he's doing... or where he is... yet he walks towards the giant plant. Preparing to blow it up-- ah, but wouldn't it be nice if he sat down in the grass for a little bit?
He blows off his explosion too early, and lets the blast push him onto his back on the ground. Closing his eyes and enjoying the grass... right in front of the monster???]
