[ Honestly, Skylark isn't sure what really makes a "good prince", either. Or rather, he sort of does but he doesn't like what he's managed to glean—that apparently, excelling as a ruler does not necessarily include the requisites for one's own happiness. ]

I think being a good person has to count for something.
