Cole sidestepped the kick easily due to the weakness behind it, reaching out and catching MK by the arm. It was almost as though he was trying to keep the hero from going off-balance, but obviously that wasn't the case. As soon as they made contact he simply pulled all of MK's emotions from him, reaping him and refilling his reserving. But he at least had to pause on the whistle to take a breath finally.
