Well that was going to complicate things a bit. Escape wasn't impossible, not for a changeling...it would just mean he would have to out-stubborn Macaque. And that would be easier if he stuck to the current plan of weakening him first. But also he would need to be close before striking. So Cole walked casually over to Macaque so as not to reveal himself, and he waited a moment to see what he would do.

He wasn't prepared for the blast of lightning though, and had no chance to react and avoid. The current rushed through him and he bit his tongue, falling to his knees. The contract remained intact, and and knelt there as he tried to shake off the daze from the blast. That hurt, but it enough to take him down.
